SEALED WITH A KISS: Shveta with fiance Rodney Barnes

Shveta Salve has always been one bindaas girl. Famous for her 'what you see is what you get' attitude, the lass never minces words when it comes to speaking her mind.

Currently, Salve is seen in Zee's political drama Sarrkkar as the gutsy Shveta.

We spotted Salve at a recent party thrown by Rohit and Manasi Joshi Roy engaged in an intimate lip lock with an unknown man, and decided to ask her about it. Says Salve, "There's no scandal here. He's my long-standing fianc Rodney Barnes."

For those of you unaware about the love of her life, Salve says, "I have been living with him for quite some time now. He's a great guy to be with."

How did the couple meet? "I met him on the road actually! I was supposed to go to a party with my girlfriends, but since there was no guy with us and we thought it would be unsafe, a friend called Rodney to hang out with us," says Shveta.

Salve recalls the first thing that drew her to him was his scent. "I don't know what he had on him, but he smelled mind-blowing. That immediately attracted me to him," she says laughing.

However, Salve insists cupid didn't strike on day one. "It wasn't one of those 'love at first sight' things. We started meeting often and he would call in and check on how I was doing," she says.

As time progressed both of them realised they were more than just good friends. But when did the two take the important step of getting engaged?

"When our parents came to know about us, they suggested we get engaged and we happily agreed. I got engaged to Rodney in 2001 in a private ceremony which turned out to be quite a party."

Rodney is into event management and Shveta says it's too early for them to decide to tie the knot. "Eventually it has to happen, so why rush it."

Si i guess people should stop the gossip on Ronit and her.....😆
