Hhmm this is hard to tell but after seeing this episode Karthik hasn't changed one bit. Raji was ready to forgive him and she was shown waiting for him, I think she still loves him that's why she is crying. Raji could have proposed it since Karthik is basically silent about everything but the reason for it is none other than K.
