Well, just a little thing that bothered me and thought of sharing it here. Am I the only one feeling odd about Raji removing her thaali everyday and wearing it the next day morn? I would have been ok had It been someone who did not believe in any of the traditions or customs or is not superstitious; but with Raji coming from a very traditional family and having been brought up in a village and also believing in such customs, it seems a little odd that she does it. She wears it when it is convenient, removes it when not needed and even misplaces it like her everyday accessory. The dir need not show the typical thaali sentiments or such shown in movies or serials but this one is also not needed. Just because someone is in IT (or even in USA) doesn't mean that the womenfolk would start behaving in a very different way. I have seen even westerners always wearing their engagement or marriage ring and although they don't respect or worship, it is considered the most important accessory or jewelry for a married woman and is given its due importance! Raji is not someone who has been married for many years and usually newly married women give more importance to such things. I wish the dir doesn't show such things in the name of modern thinking or fashion.
