It was a beautiful Monday morning in Chennai😃. It had rained heavily the night before creating lots of puddles on the road. The sun was shining bright in the sky causing reflections against everything😛. Outside the temple, you can the beautiful music along with poojas being done inside. In the faint distance you can see a black car driving towards the temple and parking. The car doors open and outside steps a beautiful lady dressed in an elegant saree. She was dressed in an elegant dark blue and gold saree with beautiful gold jewellery. Her hair was braided with lots of flowers. On the other side of the car a man steps out dressed in a vetti and dark brown shirt. The man and woman walk to the temple and the woman picks up an archanai tray. Both take off their shoes and enter the temple. They walk inside the temple then suddenly the woman turns around and asks the man 😲

"Yeinge, namma pillai engai?"

The man then turns around too: "He's not behind us? He said he was going to park the car and come. Where did he go?" he wondered.

His wife then replies: "You know how your son is, always getting into some sort of trouble and doing random thing. Let's go find him quick."

Both the husband and wife now go back the way they came in search for their son. They come out of the temple and look around. Suddenly the father spots his son. He points out to his wife that his son is over there playing cricket with a few small boys. He then calls out his name

"Karthik, dei Karthik!"

Turning around is a young man dressed in black pants and a navy blue shirt with black shoes. 😳😳

"Enna pa?" he answered.

"Dei Karthik, inge va da."the dad called out to him.

Karthik gave the cricket bat to the little boy and said bye to the children and went over to his dad.😆😆

"Enna pa?" he asked.

"What do you mean, enna pa? Karthik why did we come to the temple this morning?" the father asked.

"I don't know Dad why are we here so early in the morning anyways?" he asked.

His dad gave him a firm look and shook his head.

"You know why we are here Karthik. Come let's go your mom went inside. She's waiting for us."

"Dad come on, you know I'm not all into going to temples, you guys go ahead, I'll wait here."😕

"If your mom heard this, she will be very upset with you Karthik. Now come and follow me."

Karthik shook his head and went inside with his father now. They met his mom inside.

"Where did you Karthik?" she asked

"Anways, doesn't matter, come let's do the pooja now."

The family walked over to the priest and the mother gave the archanai tray to him.

"Under whose name should I perform the pooja today ma?"tThe priest asked.

"It's for my son Karthik, today is his first day of work and we wish him all the best."

"Seri ma."

The priest then went inside and performed the pooja. The parents closed their eyes and prayed then Karthik closed his eyes and prayed too and thought

Today's my first day of work Pillaiyar, somehow just make sure everything goes well. Ohhh' and that there are some beautiful girls at work also.😆

The priest came back with the tray and gave vibuthi and kungamam to everyone. Karthik's mother turned to her son now:

"Come let's go around the temple and pray."

"Ma, you guys go ahead I'm coming."

"Seri da"

Karthik's parents went ahead while Karthik slowly started to follow him. He looked at his watch. It was only 8 am. We had about an hour before he had to be at work for his first day. He continued to walk ahead in the temple and looked around. Suddenly he saw a large group of people gathering around. He went over to check out what was happening. There were people each getting prasadam. He now went closer to see who was offering food to all these people and saw a beautiful young girl smiling and offering food to everyone there. She was dressed in a white and red anarkali suit looking beautiful as ever.😛 Her hair was tied beautifully with a clip and she worn beautiful dangling earrings with a few bangles on one hand and a gold watch on the other hand. Karthik was mesmerized looking at her.😳😳 She was as beautiful as ever with her eyes sparkling and happily offering food to everyone.😳 Karthik was about to approach her suddenly someone called out his name.😡

"Karthik, Karthik!"

He turned around; it was his mother calling him.

"Inge va paa."

Karthik then turned back but couldn't see the girl anymore as people were crowding around her. He quickly went over to his mother.😕

"Enna ma?"

"Come Karthik, let's go. You have to leave to work now right."

Karthik looked at his watch.

"Yeah mom, I should get going."

"Ok come then we'll go."

His parents started walking back to the entrance of the temple, Karthik tried to catch another glimpse of the girl however he noticed that she left and was no longer there anymore. He lightly shook his head then followed his parents to the car. 😳😳

"Karthik, you take the car to work and we will take an auto back home." the father said.

"You sure dad? I can drop you guys at home then go."

"No no Karthik, don't worry we will take an auto home, you should leave now so you get there early. It's you first day."😉

"Ok dad."

"All the best son, be careful and drive safe." Karthik's mom said.😃

"Mom I'm not a baby, I'll be fine. Don't worry about me."

"Good luck Karthik. We will see you later after we get back from work." his dad replied.

"Seri pa."

Karthik's parents said their goodbyes to their son and took an auto and left. Karthik took out his car keys and went to his car. He started the car then drove away. Thirty minutes later he arrived at a big high rise building. Outside the building was a large sign that read Netech Coporations. He turned to the parking lot and saw the security guard in a booth there then rolled down his car window.

"Hi sir, can I help you?"

"I'm Karthikeyan, I'm joining today in the software department."

"Do you have the temporary office pass sir?"

"Yup, here it is."

Karthik handed over a card to the security guard in the booth. The guard scanned the card.

"Yes Karthikeyan, welcome to Netech. Here's your card. You will receive your Netech parking permit today sir."

"Thank you"

"Have a good day."😛

The guard allowed the gate to open and Karthik drove inside. He parked his car and quickly put his black tie on inside. Then he grabbed his cellphone and his portfolio folder and headed towards the building.

At the reception desk, he had to show his temporary pass again followed by some identification. He then took an elevator up to the 5^th floor. At the 5^th floor, there were lots of people dressed formally. He managed to move through the crowd and went inside the conference room with others. Inside the large conference room, there were about 30 people sitting in the auditorium. Karthik took a seat beside a man. He turned and looked around at everyone then at the projection screen. A powerpoint presentation was being set up by a few people who were down at the podium. Karthik looked at the person beside him and decided to introduce himself. He held out his hand to him

"Hi, I'm Karthikeyan."

The guy turned around and smiled and shook his hand. 😛

"I'm Vishnu."

Vishnu was dressed in grey formal pants with black shoes and a white shirt with a black tie. He had curly hair and black framed glasses. 😉

"So where are you from?" Karthik asked.

"I live here in Chennai. I finished my graduate studies and started working somewhere else for about a year then resigned and now I'm here. How about you?"😊

"I finished my graduate studies and applied for this job a few months back. Looks like there are a lot of people today." Karthik replied.

"Yeah, I never knew they took this many freshers. Anyways let's see what's in store for us. Today they said orientation session and we need to get the ID photos taken also. The meeting will start in a few minutes I guess."

Karthik took his cellphone and was on it. Suddenly he heard a voice beside him.

"Excuse me"

He turned and saw who it was then got surprised. It was the same girl he had seen in the temple earlier this morning! 😲😳
