A bell chimed above his head as a boy of 20 something opened the gate of a small cozy book slash music slash coffee cafe or in short his personal heaven. The barista looked up and gave him a lazy grin with a I know it wink. Ah! She so well knew why he was here in this scorching friday afternoon. He grinned back, winking at her and strolling towards his fixed spot. Taking out a book from the nearby rack, he plugged in the installed headphones, scrolling and hitting the play button for his fav playlist. He started reading the novel and sipped on his daily dose of caffein when the bell over main door chimed again followed by uncontrollable giggles and laughs travelling inside the paradise. His eyes shoot up to see the owner of a nervous giggle who entered last in the lot of chuckling girls. A mix of a mischievous grin and shy smile appeared on those ruby lips, as she pushed back her hair and loosened the strap of her shoulder bag. He drawn in a sharp breath when she waltz down the racks, skimming her slender short fingers on hard cardboards of those magic filled books and his eyes lit up seeing her choice. Loosening a button of his button up shirt and taking off his hideous glasses, he discreetly watched her stuttering off to her fixed table with not so much of grace. She bumped into two tables, spilled someone's coffee and almost tripped on her own feets while her nose deep under the book. He chuckled under his breath thinking about various times she banged into him with her eyes glued to that novels and never once lifted those mesmerising orbs to even see with whom she has collided. But he never minded that, infact that same habit of hers intrigued him to this level where he can proudly announce him as either a love sick puppy or a borderline stalker. He had been collecting every sort of information about her, he remember her schedule by heart, had full knowledge about where to find her at a given hour. He know that's it's wrong, it was a breach in her privacy but for some reasons he can't leave her alone. Oh he so well know what reasons they are. Who in their right mind would not be enticed by such breathtaking beauty. That heart shape face adorned with those large coffee brown orbs, those luscious red lips which send such urges down his body, that button nose which turns red whenever she is angry, those beautiful burgundy ringlets which falls over her forehead, that slender neck inviting him to bite her there, that sleek rightly shaped figure of hers with those long legs which force him to imagine some really forbidden things but the thing he loves in her features the most is that scar on her forehead. He love how she never try to hide it, infact always push her hair back whenever they try n cover it. She wore it like a badge and that was damn sexy in it's own way. Despite being classified as a certified bookworm she did have a smart mouth with an equally smart brain and knows damn well how to show someone their right place which just pull him more. Just thinking about her stirred his body in a very well known way, her glimpse only can turn him on. He scoffed at the discomfort of his own anatomy, shaking his head and went back to his book when a familiar melody began flowing in his ears which did nothing for his relief. A sigh of aching desperateness left his mouth hearing those lyrics which wind up his emotions oh so well.
Jism jaise ajanta ki moorat koi
He took a glance in her direction from behind her book sighing again. There she was, stretching her upper body, fighting with one of her buddies for her cupcake, not helping the current surging through him.
Jism nagma koi
Jism khushboo koi
He pulled his bottom lip inside his teeth memorising how beautifully she carry her petite body. He still can feel her softness beneath his hands from their previous collisions, he still can smell her unique sweet honey dew fragrance.
Jism jaise machalti hui raagini
There is that sudden urge of holding her in his arms when she jumped up and down over the aisle trying to reach for another of her books.
Jism jaise ke sooraj ki pehli kiran
She suddenly bent obstructing sunlight coming from a french sized window. He could only make out her silhouette, desperate to get a look of her expressions when she tilted and the golden rays bounced back giving her the look of an angel, enhancing the chocolate elixir in her eyes which hypnotised him like always.
Sandalen sandalen
Marmareen marmareen
He longed to touch her smooth milky skin, to caresses those wild manes, to kiss away those tiny moles, to bury his face in that slender neck. He longed and he wish.
Husn-e-jaanaan ki tareef mumkin nahi
Aafreen aafreen
Aafreen aafreen
His body ached to be in her space, he knew that's next to impossible given they not even had an eye contact in these 3 years let alone a verbal exchange. Still he thank the lords of heaven to give him this opportunity of at least see her from afar.
He let out a defeated grunt when her friends started racing back to the door and he saw her getting up and packing her things. He hoped on his breath that she will still hang outside for just a minute more.
Aafreen aafreen
Aafreen aafreen
Husn-e-jaanaan ki tareef mumkin nahi
Husn-e-jaanaan ki tareef mumkin nahi
He saw her walking outside without giving him as much of a glance or a bate of her eyelash and stood up abruptly to follow her outside.
She came out from the cafe with lazy steps and stood against the opposite wall, waiting for him to come out. She smiled remembering how he was staring right at her with those drown worthy hazel eyes and how she stole numerous glances in his way without being caught. She always had noticed him. How could she not. His tall stature, his lean yet muscular body, his stony jawline, those black cropped up hair, that prominent cheekbones with rosy hue, that freckles along the line of his specs, his strong arms whenever he held her by shoulders in the act of saving her from kissing the floor tiles. Many a times she purposely went and bumped into him to catch his attention or to just look at him from close enough when he thought she was going to get squished. Oh she is crazy for him. A certified crazy admirer.
Man mera khincha chala aaya teri or
She smiled at her goofiness and looked up to see him coming out. Straightening her posture, she stepped in front of him on the sidewalk and started walking with slow steps. She knew he is fast enough to catch up with her and that's what he did.
Mera sab kuch hai piya ab se tere naam
She looked at her side from her periphery and saw him walking with her step by step at an arm's length, a soft smile playing on his lips. Her lips curled upward remembering how much distance they have covered towards each other in these 3 years.
To hai yeh jadu hua
Hone lagi hoon main haseen
She saw him looking at her from his peripheral view, his lip drawn under those white teeth and his eyes dancing in an emotion she could relate but couldn't name. A tingle of jittery nerves ran in her blood when she felt his lips curling up in an all too familiar boyish smile he has reserved for her. Her blood pounding in her veins, and a cherry hue covering her neck.
Oh she wanted to just pull him by her side and laid her head on his shoulder and walk with his arms around her. But she knew it's quite a long way when only now he had started walking by her side. Otherwise he was either in front of her or behind while she measure her path to the nearby park.
Chehra uska hai ya koyi mahtaab hai
He took a breath of fresh air that surrounded him as she skipped to a nearby bench under the old brooding tree. He chuckled seeing how happy she looked admiring how light sparkled at her bracelet she always wear.
Chehra jaise kali chehra jaise kanwal
He walked upto her and settle down by her side, religiously as always. She didn't even spared a look at him and opened her phone before resuming her readings. He sighed inwardly and plugged in the headphones once again.
Chehra ik khwaab bhi chehra taa'beer bhi
How much he tried he couldn't help but glance her way every now and then. Admiring how her expressions changes with every line she read. He almost melted at the sight of that dreamy googly eyes she made and wanted to know what ran through her pretty little head when her face burned with an intense red.
Chehra ik pal yakeen chehra ik pal gumaan
Oh how his fingers itched to just remove that frown which rested on her flawless forehead, tuck away that hindering ringlet which was mischievous enough to tease her.
Maahru maahru mehjabeen mehjabeen
He had never seen someone so innocent, so alluring that sometimes her enchanting elegance catch him off guard. He can't look away. He can't will himself to do so.
Husn-e-jaanaan ki ta'reef mumkin nahi
Aafreen aafreen
Aafreen aafreen
She is disarming, her dimpled smiled daunt him in losing all his flirty lines, even stealing his ability to comprehend a logical sentence to her.
Aafreen aafreen
Aafreen aafreen
Husn-e-jaanaan ki tareef mumkin nahi
He looked at her baffled as she brutally wiped off the tears who were equally stubborn as her and kept rolling down shining like a pearl in shadowing rays. The thought of her being moved so much by some simple words mused him because he knew she is a tough nut to crack in outer world.
She removed those tears, embarrassed to even sneak a peak in his way after her meltdown over an ending. But what can she do, it was a heart melting web of words and having him in her personal space had her emotions heightened. She looked opposite to his direction trying to figure out what to do. It wasn't the first time in 3 years when he saw her crying over a novel but it she still feels equally petrified whenever it happens. She was busy reprimanding herself when a sound of crunching leaves attracted her attention. She glanced his way to find him bouncing his leg up and down in a hasty fashion. She scrunched up her forehead thinking about the reason and then it hit her. It was almost 7 and he had to be back to his shared apartment. Thinking about it, she stood up and started off again knowing well he won't leave without her. A smile plastered itself on her lips when she felt his presence right beside her. He looked around and moved a bit into her side taking a protective stance. On other occasions she may have chided the person saying she can very well defend herself but she dont know why it felt good whenever he do this. It always gives her a sense of trust on him though they were strangers to each other in literal terms. But she wanted to change it, change this silent arrangement of theirs. But again she was coward enough to not let a word slip out of that loud mouth of hers and know he won't say anything. He isn't coward nor was underconfident to talk to her. But he just can't bear to hear her rejection, he feared she will reject him and then he wouldn't able to be this close to her and he did not want to lose this opportunity.
Drowned in their thoughts, they crossed half of the path when his hand brushed against hers. He tensed not only because of the shrilling electricity between them but also fearing her reaction. He glanced towards her and find her unaffected. He breathed a sigh of relief that she didn't walked away but couldn't suppress the tinge of disappointment flowing in him. Isn't she a little bit affected from the touch? He groaned internally feeling dejected when he felt a sudden surge of heat emitting towards the inside of his palm. He looked down to see her hand just beside his palm facing it, beckoning him to hold her hand. He froze momentarily thinking of what to do? Should he hold her hand? Will she let him? Did she want it too? What will be it's consequences? Will there be a future? Would he finally be able to gather up the words roaming in his head for so long? Oh darn it!!! He will do what he wanted to for so long. With this, he engulfed her small hand in his large one with his heart thundering inside his ribcage, ready to burst out of it. Oh it feels good... It feels real good. How he wish she would hold it back. Taking a glance at her face, he did a double take seeing that shy smile and dreamy look on her face, which she had reserved for her novel heroes. Seeing her like that his face blown up in the widest grin he could ever muster and when she held his hand, intertwining her fingers with his, he couldn't fathom what to do. To whether shout to the world, announcing how happy he is or to tug her in his arms and never let her go. Oh he plans to do it and will do it right. But for now, he is loving this silent walk. He love every single second by her side. Because he doesn't know, he just love the feeling... HE JUST LOVE HER.
She was on cloud nine at the moment. She was a nervous wreck when she decided to give him a hint by placing her hand by his side and could actually hear her blood pounding in ears, but all of that suddenly changed when he held her hand and she could feel the roaring of blood singing in her veins, the erratic heartbeats chanting his name, and all of her doubts flew away. She knew they took a leap today, a big leap. She wanted to talk to him, to tell him how much she loved this feeling, how enthralled she is to have him like this in her life, to bury her face in his broad chest and inhale that manly scent forgetting about this world. But no, she won't do such thing. She like this, she like the way they are, the way it is taking place. She is no hurry to sabotage anything and moreover she love it, it's her own life turning into a romance story. Because whatever happens She love romance, she love romantic sappy stories and SHE LOVE ROMANTIC HEROES and he was her hero.
Wind swayed, sun rays kissed them goodbye as stars shone upon, blessing them when the two silhouettes walked off in dusk, staring right into each other's eyes for the first time with love and compassion at its height. That was a start. Start of a beautiful love story which doesn't need words, never have never will.
