The room-lights put at dim, a moderately chilled environment with cool breezes mingling along the air through the open windows along the flying curtains. The bell chimes ringing to ebullience the tone of silence that spread across the room. The early dusk with light and dark blue shades merging in the sky was making the entrance of a rightful evening.
Walking two and fro was Nisha along the light lit room restlessly. Moving with fast and unsteady steps along her flimsy sari, impatience written all over her face, she peeped out to the washroom the nth time.
"Kabir! You are taking more time than a girl!" She yelled out not able to control the urge to call him out.
" And you get impatient more than guy!" Came out a reply from the washroom.
"Kabirr!" shouted Nisha rolling her eyes at his taunt.
"What?" asked Kabir in sarcasitic manner imitating like a girly person.
"Kabir get the hell out, the party is about to start and all have left!"
"Okay! Okay!, dont be restless, just take care regarding your hormones after seeing me" Kabir said laughingly.
"Shut up!" Nisha said as blood rose to her cheeks all of a sudden.
"I can feel your blush baby" Kabir teased her further.
A small crack of door was heard along the silent house. The washroom door opened up with slowly adding fuel to the impatient Nisha. Kabir entered out looking dashing with his ever charming smile lighting up the place with all glory.
Nisha stared with her rosy cheeks turning redder. Kabir walked towards her with evilness filled in his eyes. Looking at him with all she could look up with, her dolled up face turned into a shy mess.
"Drooled enough?" he asked dramatically snapping her out of her gaping land. Looking away, she tried to control the smile that poured through her face festooning her own even more.
"Shut up" she said moving to take her phone from the charger.
"Right, say something more than shut up, like you look handsome, hot and all. That would be way more helpful".
"Go ask someone else for it, for me you look cute only" Nisha replied turning the coat of teasing towards her side.
"Thanks for coming an inch forward from your shyness or else even cute would have been one head ache"
"Can you keep your mouth shut and move ahead" Nisha pulled out her phone from the charger, trying to walk properly in her sari. Thanks to Dolly and Kirti other wise, her sari would have turned into an one day mission with no accomplishment.
Looking at him, she found something missing. The way he jumps around like a frog and readily gets into things, there was no physical enthusiasm though he tried to be as cool and fun loving as he was.
"There comes her command again! Sunti bhi ho mere khabi? Jhallad!" Kabir came to Nisha, poking her nose all the way making her go red.
"Kabir" she held his hand which seemed to be warmer than how it was, in fact way more hot. Her smile turned into a frown with concern. Removing her hand from his, she pulled it to his forehead, finding it to be even hot. Pulling it down to his neck, there we no hopes of positiveness.
"Kabir! You have fever" she yelled loudly with concern. "What?" Kabir asked laughingly, his voice turning a little pale. "Kabir, sit on the bed, I'm serious you are having fever". She pushed him off to the bed moving to the other side of the table to pull out a thermometer.
"Nisha, I'm fine and please don't make this party get flunked!" Kabir said trying to get off. "One step forward, I'm serious you will get from me" She marked sternly making Kabir to freeze.
"Nisha, I'm fit and fine you are gone mad and and"
"Sush" Nisha said coming to his side putting in the thermometer to his mouth. Looking like a helpless puppy, Kabir made a pleading look which she would have readily melted for otherwise. When it came to his health, she never gave hopes of things going out of hand.
Sulking, thinking of his hopes going down the drains he looked at her as if everything was being taken away from him.
Pulling out the thermometer from his mouth, her eyes bulged at the temperature it had. "It's 104 degrees!" she shouted looking all worried. "Kabir, we are not going for the party. Our family members are going which is more than enough and I wont hear a word against it from you!" She said moving out of the bed.
Pulling the pallu of her sari and tucking it to her waist, tying her hair in a top knot, she made her way to the kitchen. She filled a bowl full of water and dropped few ice cubes letting it float over the liquid. Making some soup and taking out a paracetamol,all in a tray. She took them their room. Kabir looked almost weak as a feather. She placed the tray on the table and helped Kabir to change into comfortable clothes.

Feeding the soup slowly, she watched Kabir making longs faces. Showing tantrums and indicating her that he is angry. Laughing at him in her mind for his cuteness, she fed him with care.
"Nisha" Kabir tried to speak but his words went along the soup down his food pipe.
As soon as he finished up with soup, she took out the pill and gave it to him. Eyeing at her as if a revenge was waiting, he swallowed down the medicine along with the water.
Slowly yet trying to be calm enough, Nisha dipped the cloth in the bowl and placed it over Kabir's forehead gently. Kabir looked all sluking.
" This is not fair! - I dont have any rights to speak" Kabir mumbled even in his weak state ready for a fight.
"All is fair in love and war Kabir"
"No, this is not "
"You are sick and you want to go to some stupid party huh?"
"Before I was sick, this was important, but after that it become stupid! You never change"
"Ha ha, I'll never change and you know that"
"Nishaa...I'm fine"
"yes you are but not fine enough"
"Common Nisha, I'll miss partying along with Sourabh and Umesh"
"That you guys do almost everyday and this one day wont bring a big loss Mr.K"
"I'll fight for my rights"
"Sure - Go to the court and fight for your rights" Nisha said ruffling his head soothingly turning him to drowse.
"I'll for sure Mrs Kabir Kumar" he said holding her hand tightly blinking his eyes as it turned heavy for him to open up.
"I have the rights and you are only mine" Kabir spoke slowly drifting into sleep.
"Sure you do Kabir" Nisha smiled at the last words.
"You look so pretty in this sari.." Kabir whispered
"And you look hot" Nisha complimented. A smiled crept along Kabir's face partially as if his conscious mind knew what she said.
"Say you are mine" Kabir rebelled holding her tightly.
"I am Kabir" Nisha held his hand tightly.
"Don't go anywhere" he tried to speak but weakness took his bolt.
"I wont" she ensured. His breath turned even which showed that he was slumbering.
Slowly pulling away, she removed the cloth from his head, replacing it with another wet one again.
"Don't go Nisha...please" Kabir held her hand even before she could move an inch more away.
Smilingly, Nisha put herself across him hugging and giving her warmness along with the blanket. "I wont" Nisha replied, knowing that he keeps waiting for a reply from her.
