It was Kabir's birthday and all the cousins were adamant that they will make Nisha confess her feeling to Kabir today. They had made a full-proof plan and were waiting to execute it but Nisha was so dumbstruck every time Kabir came close to her she used to become tongue-tied and would say nothing.
Finally, when the cousins gave them a dare to kiss each other, Nisha didn't know how to react but Kabir picked her up in his arms in the bridal style and took her to the room. All the while none of them bothered to break the eye-lock between them as Kabir reached the door.
As soon as they reached the room Kabir shut the door with his leg and Nisha started confessing her love for him in his arms...
"Kabir, main janti hun ki humne contract banaya tha ki hum dono ek dusre se pyaar nahi kar sakte, but main nahi janti ki kab mujhe tujhse pyaar hogaya... I really love you Kabir, tujhe London jana hai na toh tu ja, main sab sambhal lungi, but tu wapas zaroor aana... main..."
Kabir hushed her by placing his finger on her lips and cutting her off in middle... He was about to say something but they heard a knock on the door. Kabir went to open the door and there he found a Ramesh who was really angry
"Papa" he called but Ramesh walked inside the room without saying a word followed by Kabir
"Tum dono samjhte kya ho khud ko? Shadi jaise rishte ka mazak banae chale ho?" he looked at them and asked
"Papa, aap yeh kya keh rahe ho?" Kabir asked
"Sach keh raha hun, aaj uss Viraj Singh Rathore ki inti majal ki vo mujh se meri beti ka haath mangne aaya... usne mujh se kaha ki tum dono ne contract marriage ki hai, 3 mahino baad tu chala jayega Kabir" Ramesh said looked at Kabir in anger.
Nisha was scared that her father had come to know the truth and she didn't know how to handle him
Kabir looked at Nisha and Ramesh, he made Ramesh sit on the bed and he sat on the floor next to him and started speaking
"Yeh sach hai Papa" he said shocking Ramesh and breaking Nisha's heart, he took a breath and continued
"Yeh sach hai ki main 3 mahine baad jane wala tha, but main Nisha ko chod ke nahi jane wala tha, main London jane wala tha apne kaam se..."
Ramesh sighed in relief and Nisha looked at Kabir pleasantly surprised, her hopes were high again
"Aur rahi baat contract ki toh vo bhi sach hai, maine aur Nisha ne ek contract banaya tha but jaisa aap samjh rahe hai vaisa nahi... humne uss contract main yeh likha tha ki kon ghar ke konse kaam karega... aap toh apni beti ko jante hai, aasani se kisi ki baat nahi sunti, issliye maine yeh decide kiya tha ki hum ek contract banayenge taki yeh aapne kaam se peeche na hat sake"
He chuckled looked at Ramesh who giggled while Nisha too smiled instead of frowning
"Aur yeh baat uss Viraj ne aapko apne tarike se batai..." he concluded and got up, Ramesh looked down feeling guilty and sad that he had doubted his children that too due to what Viraj had said...
"Mujhe maaf kar do beta, jab Viraj ne mujhe kaha ki usske pass proof bhi hai iss baat ka tab mujhe laga ki vo sach keh raha hai... aur main tum pe shak kar betha..." he placed his hands on Kabir's shoulder
"Kya Papa aap bhi, birthday ke din mujhe sharminda kar rahe hai" Kabir joked and Ramesh patted his cheek, he walked to Nisha and cherished her face
"I am sorry beta" he said, Nisha kept mum and hugged him tightly, after a minute Ramesh broke the hug and wished Kabir after which he left peacefully as all his doubts were cleared... Nisha walked to Kabir and before she could ask Kabir spoke as he knew what she would have asked...
"Nisha... janta hun ki contract banaya tha humne, par tu akeli nahi hai jisne yeh galti ki hai, main bhi tujhe pasand karne laga hun Nisha... bas samajh nahi paya ki kab hua... yeh pyaar hai ya nahi main nahi janta but I like you Nisha..."
Nisha looked at him as he continued
"Jab koi aapko special feel karvaye, jab koi aapki smile ke liye kuch bhi kar jaye... bina soche samjhe aapki khushi ke liye kuch bhi kar jaye, aapno se lad jaye... Aur jab aap yeh sab feel karte agar isse pyaar kehte hai toh main bhi tujhe pyaar karta hun Nisha..."
He concluded as he looked deep in her eyes and placed that few strands of hair that came on her face. He waited for her to say something but her lips were sealed and as she couldn't find words to say anything, she closed her eyes and let her tears flow down which spoke what was there in her heart.
Kabir pulled her in a hug and she clutched his jacket crying out louder
"Tu pagal hai kya Nisha, pehle khud apni feelings confess ki aur jab maine apni feelings ke bare main bataya toh rone lagi..." he tried to joke but the timing was bad...
Nisha started crying louder worrying Kabir, he broke the hug and cupped her face
"Kya hua? Itna ganda laga kya mera joke?" he asked confused and nervous but Nisha nodded negatively "Toh?" he asked
"Viraj sir ke paas proof hai Kabir, vo sabko sach bata denge" she cried harder and he sighed and hugged her again
"Nisha, maine handle kar li hai na situation... tu chinta mat kar, aur pehle yeh rona band kar" he said as he broke the hug again and wiped her tears with his hand
"Sochne ki baat yeh hai ki Viraj ke paas vo contract aaya kaise" Kabir said and Nisha too started thinking about it
"Kahin humare peeche vo humare kamre main toh nahi aaye the?" Kabir asked
"Nahi, itna toh main janti hun ki vo aisa nahi karenge, vo bohut disciplined hai..." Nisha said
"But tujhe pakka lagta hai ki vo aisa nahi karega? I mean he has changed so much" Kabir said and sat on the bed followed by Nisha
"Haan yaar, vo chahe kitna hi badal gaye ho, vo apne ussul kabhi nahi todenge" Nisha said
"Anyways, hume abh yeh sochna hai ki hum vo contract wapas kaise le uss se..." Kabir said and Nisha hummed
"Unhe aaj bhi yehi lagta hai ki main unse pyaar karti hun but"
"But tu toh mujhse pyaar karti hai" Kabir said and winked at her making her blush, he chuckled and continued
"Toh tujhe unhe yeh prove karna padega ki tu unse pyaar nahi karti" Kabir said as he walked to grab his clothes to change
"Hmm, par kaise?" Nisha asked
"Vo hum baad main sochenge... abhi ke liye kya hum so sakte hai? Main bohut thak gaya hun, itne saalon main pehli baar proper birthday celebrate kiya hai" he grinned and Nisha smiled at him as he walked to change. After Kabir changed and came out Nisha went to change and when she came out she found that Kabir was setting the bed and the pillow wall was not there in middle of the bed, Kabir looked up and found her standing there with confusion clearly visible on her face
"Abh jab pyaar ka izhaar ho hi gaya hai toh yeh deewar beech main kyun?" he winked at her and she nodded her head and walked towards the bed. Kabir laid down and stretched his arm signalling Nisha to lay on it, she blushed but did as he said and he pulled her closer to him, she snugged into him and smiled as she closed her eyes
"Na jane kab se iss tarah teri baahon main rehna chahti thi Kabir" Nisha thought as she clutched his T-shirt
"Aaj ka din kabhi nahi bhulunga main, mera best birthday tha yeh" Kabir thought and closed his eyes as he rested his head on top of Nisha's that rested on his chest now.
They both slept peacefully in each other's arms as today they had finally spoke what was there in their hearts and were going to start a new beginning with a new day tomorrow.
