Day 28

The day was a relaxing one as it was a holiday. Nisha woke up at 10. She prepared herself coffee when Kirti called her.

Kirti-(cheerfully)Good morning...

Nisha- Good morning...

Kirti- You remember Harsh ne hume uske ghar invite kiya tha?

Nisha- Hmm... Listen, main nahi aa paaungi... feeling a bit tired... You guys carry on...

Kirti- Aa naa Nishu, Harsh ne kitne pyaar se bulaya hai...

Nisha- Kirti, mujhe sach mein nahi aana...

Kirti-(pleading) Please...

Nisha- (giving up) Thikh hai...

She changed and left for Harsh's house.

Kabir hadn't even slept a wink last night, so he woke up at 8 and left for the Rehearsal Hall. Only dance could calm him down and he knew that...

After rehearsing for 2 hours, he was doing warm up when he got Saurav's call.

Saurav- Hey Kabir, subah-subah kahan chale gaye?

Kabir- Rehearsals...

Saurav- Par aaj toh holiday hai..

Kabir- Just wanted to spend some time dancing... Tu bata, kyun call kiya?

Saurav- Arrey, woh Harsh ne hume apne ghar pe invite kiya tha, remember?

Kabir- (angrily) Harsh?

Saurav- I know, but I promised him ki hum dono aayenge... isiliye, chal na...

Kabir- Thikh hai... Main tumhe uske ghar par milta hoon...

In 15 minutes, the bike stopped near a bungalow. Kabir went to the door and was surprised to see Nisha standing there, waiting for the door to open. He stood next to her. She looked at him, but didn't smile. Neither did he have the courage and strength to look in her eyes.

To decrease the awkwardness, both touched the door-bell-button. Their hands touched and they looked at each other. Their eyes couldn't look away, and both were lost in a deep eyelock, which usually conveyed love, but today, conveyed insecurity, hurt and possessiveness.

"Sorry to keep you waiting" They suddenly heard a guy speak and looked at the door. Harsh stood there with a smile on his face. They entered the house.

Umesh and Aman were already there. So Nisha and Kabir were chatting with them. In 1 hour, Dolly, Saurav, Kirti and Sukku too came.

Harsh- Vrinda nahi aayi?

Kabir- No, she had some urgent work...

Harsh- Ok...

Then they started with their usual chats, movies, games, matches.

*In evening*

Kabir- Guys, main chalta hoon...

Dolly- ya, even I'll leave...

Saurav- I'll drop you...

Dolly- Ok...

Nisha- Saurav, main bhi tumhare saath chalti hoon...

They all left the house. Kabir went outside the house and remembered that he had forgotten the bike keys. He rushed in the house and what he saw made him boil in anger.

Kirti was standing with a grumpy face and Harsh was hugging her from behind.

Kabir's anger knew no limits. He himself didn't realize when he screamed.

Kabir-(loudly with anger) Harsh? Kirti?

Harsh looked up in shock. Kirti pushed him away.

Kabir-(angrily)Yeh sab kya chal raha hai?

Kirti looked down, her head hung. Harsh was speechless.

Kabir-(loudly) Answer me!

Kirti-(trying to explain) Look Kabir, tum jaisa soch rahe ho...

Kabir- Waisa nahi hai, yahin kehna chahte ho na... But phir jis position mein tum dono the, it just makes me think one thing...

Harsh- and you are right...

Kirti was shocked and scared. Kabir had fury in his eyes while Harsh was determined.

Kabir-(angrily) Aur yeh kab hua?

Harsh- We are together since last 2 years. Kirti ke dad aur mere dad ki business meets ke wajah se hum bhi do-teen bar mile, friends hue and when the friendship turned into love, hume khud realize nahi hua...

Kabir was shocked. He couldn't think of a reaction. All he was worried was about Nisha and her family.

Harsh- (understanding his thoughts) Mom ne Nisha aur mera rishta 2 hafte pehle hi tod diya tha Kabir... par Laxmi aunty ne Nisha ko nahi bataya...

Kabir- (confused) Par kyun?

Kirti- Woh hum bhi nahi jaante... Pehle I also felt guilty ki I am dating my best friends future fianc, par jab mujhe pata chala ki Nisha doesn't want to get married to Harsh, the guilt wasn't there anymore...

Kabir couldn't think of a better reaction. He just mumbled a sorry and left from there. He went to the Gateway of India and sat there. His eyes were lost in the beauty of the waves of the sea, but his mind was confused thinking of the situation Nisha was going through...

Nisha freshened and sat with her laptop.Her mobile rang, it was her mom.

Laxmi- Nishu? Tu thikh hai?

Nisha- Ofcourse Laxmi...

Laxmi- Kya tu Harsh se shaadi karna chahti hai?

Nisha- Maa, aap yeh puch rahe ho? Knowing that I love Kabir?

Laxmi- Nishu, Mrs. Rajput ne tumhara aur Harsh ka rishta tod diya...

Nsiha-(happily) Kya?

Laxmi- Hmmm... Harsh wants to marry someone else...

Nsiha- Toh yeh toh khushi ki baat hai naa?

Laxmi- Par baauji?

Nisha- Laxmi, relax me... sab thikh ho jaayega...

Laxmi- Ramesh aur main Baauji se baat karne jaa rahe hai... Main unhe tere archery comeption ke baar mein batau?

Nisha- Bata do...

Laxmi- I am very happy for you...

She hanged the call and Nisha smiled happily. Finally, something good had happened.
