Chapter 6

Principal- Nisha, you are the G.S. of the college. At least you should have shown some discipline. I am punishing you six. You and Kabir go to the library and arrange the books in the Economics department. Saurav and Kirti, you both will help the assistant in the medical room for 2 days while Sukku you make sure that the sports equipments are proper. Dolly, you help the lab assistant.

All tried to argue, but in vain. The Principal left. Kabir made a puppy face and all melted, instead of blasting him off.

Nisha- (to Kabir) Chal Library chalte hai...

Others went to complete their task and NiBir went in the library and started arranging the books. They were done with the lower shelves, but the top ones were remaining.

Kabir- Tu chad ladder par...

Nisha- (smirking) Kyun? Kabira ko darr lag raha hai...

Kabir- Jaa naa...

Nisha sighed and climbed the ladder. Kabir started giving her books and by mistake kicked the ladder. The ladder balanced and Nisha screamed. Sensing she'll fall, Kabir opened his arms and she fell in his arms. Both looked at each other in shock.

Nisha- (after recovering from the shock, still in Kabir's arm) Chod mujhe.

Kabir didn't know what to do, as he was confused with whatever happened and left her. She fell on the ground.

Nisha- (in pain) Ahhh. Kabir...

Kabir- (apologizing) Sorry yaar... tu thikh hai?

Nisha nodded and didn't say anything as it was awkward for her, and she knew even Kabir felt awkward. After this, Kabir stood on the ladder and Nisha gave him the books and he arranged. After 1 hour, they finished the whole department. Nisha sat there as she had some work and Kabir returned after some time.

Kabir- (handing her a gift) Tere liye gift hai.

Nisha looked at the box confusingly and as soon as she opened it, she started screaming. She hugged Kabir.

Nisha- Thanks yaar.

Kabir- No problem.

Kabir had gifted her box of Cadbury Celebrations and many other brands of chocolates, and Nisha was known for her craze of chocolates. Nisha happily hugged him. They went to the canteen, but missed to see a jealous Viraj's face.

*At night*

All were asleep. Kabir was on the terrace, while Nisha wanted some fresh air. She walked upstairs, but stopped and hid behind the door, when she heard Kabir yell, "Mom, you know I hate him." His mom must have spoken something, and then Kabir cut the call angrily. Nisha entered the terrace.

Nisha- All okay?

Kabir- (irritated) No yaar. Mere dad na... (calming down) Forget, main tumhara mood spoil nahi karna chahata.

Nisha- Tum hi toh kehte ho, ki baat karne se dil halka ho jaata hai...

Kabir looked and her and spoke out, "10 saal ho gaya, mom aur dad ko separate hue. Court ne meri custody mom ko di, but dad wants my custody, isiliye nahi, ki woh mujhse pyaar karte hai, par isiliye kyunki he wants mom to be hurt. 10 saal se, he is gifting me latest gadgets, brNanded clothes.. etc. He has a big business, par Mom ne mere late mamu ka chotasa business apne hard work se bada kiya... she was always busy, I am not sad about it, infact I am very happy and proud of her, par mere results, annual day functions pe humesha meri naani aati thi.. You know I sometimes felt worthless.. Isiliye main yaahan aaya hoon, taaki khud ke dam pe kuch ban saku, dad ko dikha saku, ki mujhe unki jaroort nahi hai...Tumne kabhi yeh nahi soch, ki unka surname Raizada hai, aur main Kumar kyun hoon? Main unka surname bhi nahi lagata, mere mom ka surname lagata hoon... I just hate him from the bottom of my heart."

Nisha looked at him in amazement. She didn't find Mr. Annoying in him at all, all she found was a guy, who really needed someone to hold his hand and tell him that he isn't alone.

Nisha- (taking his hand in hers) Kabir, you are never alone, I am there with you...

Kabir nodded and looked at the sky, where the stars beamed and the full moon shone brightly, spreading its calm light.
