Last Part
Arthi had been staying at Gangwal House for the past few days. She never had to express anything in words. Everything would be done even before she expressed. How did Lakshmi Aunty know when she wanted to have her favorite milkshake and when she wanted to eat aloo parathas? How did Ramesh Uncle know when she was upset and come to talk with her? How did Suku, Bunty, Umesh, Kirti, Jwala, and Aman know when to tease and pester her and when to leave her alone? How did Dadiji always save her from her silly escapades from Dadaji? Did she have some wireless connection? Why would Singham become less of a Singham with just her alone? Why did she feel as if she belonged just here?
This trend continued in Lakshya Academy too. All the staff knew even before she said what she was expecting from them, Saurav especially. He would act on her words even before she had the opportunity of speaking them. Every morning her room would be decorated with her favorite flowers and her cup of coffee, prepared according to her taste would be ready on her table. She never had to order her favorite sandwich from the canteen man because he knew even before she told him what her order would be. Vasundhara Aunty, Kabir, Sunaina, Viraj's Dadaji all of them seemed very familiar to her.
And the LA shooting ground, it was as if it was always there in her dreams. She had started shooting practice at LA. She took to it as fish to water. She never knew she could shoot so well. Her performance was on par with Viraj's himself. There were many times when she doubted whether Viraj was hiding anything from her. It seemed as though everyone knew a lot but wouldn't show out.
Ever since she had come to Jaipur, she had completely avoided Viraj. She had to make him payback for making her cry just for fun. So she just spoke to him in monosyllables. She paid no attention to him until he would become completely exasperated. He would try all odd tricks to gain her attention but she would act as though she was not observing anything of this. He would send her mails to which she would not reply. He would call her and she would not pick up those calls.
Until one day, Viraj becoming completely frustrated sent her a pile of files asking her to finish studying them before the next day. She was wading through this uninspiring work. She had finished studying ten files and only one more was left. Though she did not see any urgent need why he had sent those files to her, she wanted to complete her work perfectly.
When she opened the last file, she found that it contained letters he had written to her every day after he had left Mumbai till date. Arthi's eyes filled with tears on reading them. She did not know that he loved her so much. Past or no past, she was his forever and forever. To hell with remembering who she used to be! She would live in the present. Her present and future was Viraj Singh Rathore.
Arthi picked up her phone and called him, "Viraj, I love you. Will you marry me? If you don't mind about my past, I will not mind about it either. I'm tired of trying to run after a mirage which always fades away. I want you in my life. I cannot live without you."
This was the moment Viraj had always awaited. She was going to be his at last. They were going to reunite after a long separation. His life was at last going to be complete and meaningful. Both of them were like the music and lyrics of a song. One could not exist without the other. He was happy that she had understood this even though she did not remember anything of their past together. They would make up for these lacunae by creating newer and joyful memories together in future.
The next day, just before Arthi and Viraj met again, Saurav came up and informed them about an important press conference which was about to happen at LA. They entered the conference hall together. All the Gangwals, Rathores and Mr. Akash were present. The press conference was taken over by Viraj and Arthi who were explaining their future plans for LA. Just when they were in the middle of the conference, someone entered the hall clapping her hands.
It was none other than Viraj's Bua, Gayatri. She addressed Arthi and said, "Well played Miss. Arthi. Well played. You've trapped my nephew first and then defamed him by leaking all his private mails and letters to the internet and media? Why did you do this? I know you have several mental issues but this is not acceptable. My nephew loved you wholeheartedly and you broke his trust like this. I am ashamed of you."
Viraj looked terribly shocked and said, "What Buaji? What are you saying? Did Arthi leak those mails?"
Gayatri continues, "Yes. And here is the proof for it. The mails were leaked from Miss. Arthi's IP address."
Viraj comes towards Arthi in great anger and says, "Arthi, I trusted you and loved you. Why did you do this to me? I really can't believe even now that you took revenge for a minor prank of mine by making a joke out of my private life. You made me the laugh of the whole town. I hate you. Arthi, I hate you."
Arthi gave Viraj a resounding slap and said, "Why can't you think differently at least this time? Even last time you believed your Bua and this time also you believe her over me. Do you think I could really do something like that to you?" and fell down on her knees crying.
Viraj carefully and cautiously said, "Even last time...So do you remember the last time?"
Arthi hit him on his chest and said, "Of course I do! Even the last time you broke my trust and this time... I won't marry..." He shut her mouth with a passionate kiss on her mouth and then said, "This was all I wanted to hear. All this was a set up to bring back your lost memory. None of our mails and letters was leaked and this is not a real press conference."
Let's leave the love-birds now for some time alone. Everything has come a full circle in their life. Starting with a breach of trust at the first press conference, they battled over their feelings of anger and betrayal. They faced all the complications they had created for themselves and others by getting into relationships on the rebound, overcame their feelings of denial, and sorted out the trust issues between them. They healed all the hurts they had knowingly and unknowingly given to each other. They rebuilt their castle of love and trust on newer and stronger foundations. They passed the most difficult of tests and finally earned each other's love. Their story does not end there. It just begins here.
A few years later,
Nisha and Viraj were on the pinnacles of success in their professional life. They were the best shooters in the country and their photos would appear every alternate day in some newspaper or magazine for their achievements. They had won a number of national and international medals in the intervening time period. LA became the topmost Shooting Academy in India.
In their personal life, both of them led a very blissful existence. When this story began, Viraj was all alone. So alone, that he wrote letters everyday to a mother who was not beside him to share his loneliness and angst. Now he had his entire family with him, and above all, the angel of his life, Nisha, who transformed and transfigured his life with her presence.
His family also received the addition of two new members, his twin sons, Arun and Varun. Viraj's Dadaji, Vasundhara, Viraj, Nisha, Kabir, Sunaina, Priya, Junior Kabir, Arun and Varun, all of them lived together as one happy and picture-perfect family.
Ramesh became the new Singham 2 and Viraj became the new RDV (Rehne de Viraj)
Viraj was scolding his twin sons, Arun and Varun for secretly gobbling up the one liter ice cream pack kept in the fridge overnight when Singham 2 was reprimanding him saying,
"Rehne de Viraj, Rehne de. They are children. Let them be children. Don't try to make them grow up overnight into mature individuals. This is not right parenting."
And so continued the story of Arun Aur Uske Cousins (AAUC).
(Friends this is the last part of my FF. I had to cut it short due to my personal reasons. I didn't want to leave the story incomplete so I've fast forwarded the story a bit. But hope all of you enjoyed reading this FF as much as I enjoyed writing it.)
