Yes, they werent even allowed to listen to their fav songs on radio, then how could they speak about their dreams or even speak 2 words like children speak to their parents. None of them could, But Moren didnt feel this amount of pressure that Ramesh felt because his dream was different.

In this case, I think Ramesh could have muster up courage to tell about his dream to go to Mumbai...and ran away without telling. Dadaji would have known Ramesh's inclination to singing...but never encouraged...so Ramesh ran away.

Dadaji is definitely Singham. Every body are scared of him...and hence agrees to him.
