My original reaction was I got pissed off. 🤬 What's wrong with supernatural? Khud ka to dhang ka story nahi hain, supernatural hi copy kar rahi ho thoda bohot badal ke, to itna kya itrana? Sorry for my rude tone. This is the limit of hypocrisy. Some fans I have seen look down upon Nazar saying it's bakwas because we have a Dayan here but for them Jinn is out of the box because it's fantasy. 😲 Are you frigging kidding me? 😡 Judge the story not the genre. Otherwise, what's so hot with vampires? Even they are human turned by bat biting. It's all about the story and execution. But some just love to insult others' choice. Sorry! Around Friday, had seen a video on insta, where she was shooting this and clearly scared and had closed her eyes. It's okay to be scared, not all can do action. But don't fake!

I am not really new. Because YHM started in 2013 and SM wasn't that prevalent that time. Yet, I have come across blind fandom and unnecessary hatred for actors. It's just that when you read or hear something bad regarding your favorite actor or show, you are bound to get pissed off.

I would be completely honest here. Before watching Nazar, even I didn't think too high of this genre. But the main reason had to do more with the type of VFX or stale story that I watched during my teenage days and the type of American shows I watched at that time. Leave aside VFX, the make up, setup and stories were mostly cliched and not interesting.

Another reason was the constant copying. SSK did great so every show entered one supernatural element be it YHM or KD. Although KD tried to justify it saying from the beginning the gave audience the hint about use of medicine. But I was pissed off.

Yaar! Agar comedy dikhana hain to dikhao, family dikhana hain to dikhao. But family drama mein kyun supernatural ghusa rahe ho? And everyone just blindly started producing supernatural saying it's out of the box. While the reality is only Nazar & DD could survive because they offered something new while Sitara and Dayan went not that popular.

I am highly disappointed with Nazar at this point for the stretching and character assassination. Yet, if I have to take names of shows which have been consistent or showed development or layered character, then I'll definitely include Nazar.

I know at times I come out really strong so you think I am possessive of Nazar. May be a bit but not in the psychopath way. 😆 I have told earlier that YHM and NK are two shows which made me an ITV viewer after years. When Bhootu came on air, I was like - Mereko nahi dekhna ek hi type ki story. When they showed Suchi becoming infertile that was the limit because I thought they were copying YHM. But I was pleasantly surprised with the way the show developed. As much as I love Sana, if I really have to compare between Divyanka, Sayantani and her, she would come third. But the story was written with such realism and the way it progressed, I will always say Bhootu 1 is the best show based on mother-daughter. Of course they made a mess in S2 but I'll always cherish S1.

The same way, it wouldn't really matter with the similarities between Nazar and Jinn. But they have literally used every major concept, didn't make enough change to look it fresh and the execution is not up to the mark according to me; apart from the VFX of course. So why would I care if it's fantasy?

Don't know about her but personally I hate faking. It's okay to be scared. But there's no harm in admitting it. I think DT is the only actress whom I have seen performing stunts with zealousness. It also makes sense because she is a riffle shooter and quite adventurous herself. Even Niyati has added benefit of being a dancer as she is flexible. But it's not necessary that every actress has to like it.

Feeling really for MoAn pair😭. dont want any fake love or trap between them . Must compliment they both look too good together. Mature couple. Story is so intense these days. Mohana is an iconic character evil hone ke baad bhi uske liye feel hota hai. Hope she gets true love in Angad.

Me too. One of the best character development I have seen was that of Regina's. She was pure evil but found her way to goodness through motherhood, love and an additional family. She never became pure good but was a complex character.

I have always wanted something like that for Mo. Only that way, they could retain her till the end without making the good vs evil cliched and boring.

Malhar is good and Monalisa is slaying the role. I want Mo to find love and move on from this constant Tom & Jerry fight with PiyAnsh.

Thanks for explaining all points, can understand your take and even I get pissed when people tell on my favs or shows. Yes, you do look posessive of Nazar but so am I, you may not feel it but others do. About Supernatural shows, yes Nazar and DD gave sething new, DD messed post a while. But then again there have been other shows from genre which also got interesting things but didn't work cos of less limelight or promotions. Each show has something interesting to offer, as I always say and won't have a huge budget.

Like take Jndsd, though being such an unique show it was typecast by Star or got Step treatment and they didn't have fancy sets and less budget.. like if you get the point. But then still it was beautiful in its own way. That time too, people mentioned how Ishqbaaz was more great cos it had everything people look out for, fancy sets, cheesy romance, larger than life stuff, etc. I myself saw show till a point and then quit. But that's the thing, it had massive promotions, crazy fanbase, trps and all awards.

But each show will have its own crowd and concepts. So am not going to say, this is the thing. Simple! For some shows it works, for some it doesn't. Without family drama you don't get trps, why does DD get 1.8 cos of massive family drama.

Great to know on Sana, and plots. Though even I liked Sana, I would rate few others better than her.

Basically it's their show, so they have the right to copy from 1 percent to 100 percent. However we hate, it won't change. So accept. You tend to be so affected..they are copying traits of leads or overall background of leads or some traits from shows which are years old, say 7 years..or more. It's common and though you hate it, it's their strategy. My point is it's irritating but let go or free pass, cos if they are using as a strategy, it's tested and there will be reasons. Plus even Nazar and Piansh had many copied things, but if we keep comparing, we can't enjoy.

Plus jinn has brilliant VFX and they never claimed any unique thing. So they mix bits from Nazar, new things, books, movies and their strategies. Trps speak so their strategy is a winner. Yes, don't care for jinn as fantasy. Who asked you to?! Some people will and some won't. Like I still appreciate the show for a few things and love seeing it, cos it's light hearted and no logic, so that helps too cos too much logic is bad, writers forget it mid way. Way they are using few concepts of Nazar in jinn, later they will do vice versa too. We both can just say about reference cos we can't actually go and change anything. So see and laugh it off.

So watched today's Nazar episode.

My theory is Ansh is definitely gonna become Singha and there's going to be some timeline for it. Plus if Ansh becomes, Angad will be freed from it. Maybe totally wrong. Cos Angad mentioned something on time..

Also watched my show, Yjhjk and finally it's moving ahead and best part is Vikram is back on track and being brilliant, acting and expressions were bang on! Really happy!

I get that. Shows which I have genuinely liked were mostly simple and that's the reason I could relate to the characters. Be it YHM, NK, YMMKD or Bhootu. But unfortunately the first two shows started showing larger than life stuff and I lost my interest. KD had magnificent sets but not that popular actors and it never received its due.

But each show will have its own crowd and concepts. So am not going to say, this is the thing. Simple! For some shows it works, for some it doesn't.

I agree completely. I have never said Nazar is unique or original. There are multiple things we have seen in other shows. Like, I saw in KD - the lantern scene, which you can tell an inspiration from Thai and Korean movies as they have some festival regarding this. But it was the execution. In case of KD, I was moved by Aryan's innocence and in case of Piya - it evoked sympathy and pain for a girl who was yearning for her long lost family. At that point you really don't give a crap about which show they are copying. But yes, if they had shown PiyAnsh flying the lantern together and Ansh saying something similar to Aryan, I would have definitely said they have copied it.

I am not annoyed with the PH here dear. They are here for business and they are applying the tried and tested formula. It's all good. I was mainly pissed off because of the way people/fans look down upon other shows and say their favorite is the best. Definitely, in future they can take some inspiration from Jinn. And I am honestly telling you, in that case also I would say, yeah - they took the idea from Jinn. Like I was clearly aware of some concepts being repeated in KD that were shown in YHM earlier as Sonali Jafar was the writer of both of the shows. Point is, I won't say my show is original and out of the box just because I am loving it. Some people in Jinn's form just get overboard with their favorites and cross the limit of blind fandom. That's irritating. You are more matured than me, so you laugh it off. I get pissed off real quick. 😵 Something that I have trying to control for ever but still am unsuccessful. 😒
