Kya yaar Nushy, I thought PH and plot you are talking in major sense. I wrote so much, but then again I guess it's an interesting discussion. Will revert by noon to you. Busy in some stuff.

Well, I do understand that no matter which story you are telling, every writer has some common traits. Like earlier I told you about a novel that I was reading. That writer's story will feature an hero who can be extraordinary but willfully chooses an ordinary, rather disturbed lifestyle. And the heroine will get smitten by this particular quality. In many of his books, not all - he followed this trait.

So definitely Gul has some set of rules for her shows like a rude ML or bubbly FL. But yes, these days maximum shows look dull so you definitely expect the well known PH to come up with newer ideas once in a while to initiate a change.

Otherwise, it's pure business and they will have to apply the tried and tested formula.

But yes, I definitely think they have focused too much on VFX while they should have been more careful about the execution and characterization also. Because I have seen Jinn fans also complaining about Roshni's characterization. Plus Nazar and Jinn - both are on air. So the similarity or comparison have become more obvious.

But even this is earning them their desired TRP so who are we to say anything. Blind fandom is what pisses me off more than a bad story. I feel the actors are the victims here because they are the ones who have to experience all the hatred on SMs and a couple of viewers who feel exhausted with the never ending cycle.

Like take Jndsd, though being such an unique show it was typecast by Star or got Step treatment and they didn't have fancy sets and less budget.. like if you get the point. But then still it was beautiful in its own way. But unfortunately the first two shows started showing larger than life stuff and I lost my interest. KD had magnificent sets but not that popular actors and it never received its due.

But each show will have its own crowd and concepts. So am not going to say, this is the thing. Simple! For some shows it works, for some it doesn't.

Without family drama you don't get trps, why does DD get 1.8 cos of massive family drama.

I have never followed DD, not even through WU. I found the plot interesting and since it's a prime time show, thought that's the reason for TRP. Do they show family drama there? Genuinely asking.

Basically it's their show, so they have the right to copy from 1 percent to 100 percent. However we hate, it won't change. So accept. You tend to be so affected..

Well, I am really short tempered. Almost like Raman. So I get fed up or frustrated easily.

they are copying traits of leads or overall background of leads or some traits from shows which are years old, say 7 years..or more. It's common and though you hate it, it's their strategy. My point is it's irritating but let go or free pass, cos if they are using as a strategy, it's tested and there will be reasons. Plus even Nazar and Piansh had many copied things, but if we keep comparing, we can't enjoy.

I agree completely. I have never said Nazar is unique or original. There are multiple things we have seen in other shows. Like, I saw in KD - the lantern scene, which you can tell an inspiration from Thai and Korean movies as they have some festival regarding this. But it was the execution. In case of KD, I was moved by Aryan's innocence and in case of Piya - it evoked sympathy and pain for a girl who was yearning for her long lost family. At that point you really don't give a crap about which show they are copying. But yes, if they had shown PiyAnsh flying the lantern together and Ansh saying something similar to Aryan, I would have definitely said they have copied it.

Plus jinn has brilliant VFX and they never claimed any unique thing. So they mix bits from Nazar, new things, books, movies and their strategies. Trps speak so their strategy is a winner. Yes, don't care for jinn as fantasy. Who asked you to?! Some people will and some won't. Like I still appreciate the show for a few things and love seeing it, cos it's light hearted and no logic, so that helps too cos too much logic is bad, writers forget it mid way. Way they are using few concepts of Nazar in jinn, later they will do vice versa too. We both can just say about reference cos we can't actually go and change anything. So see and laugh it off.

I am not annoyed with the PH here dear. They are here for business and they are applying the tried and tested formula. It's all good. I was mainly pissed off because of the way people/fans look down upon other shows and say their favorite is the best. Definitely, in future they can take some inspiration from Jinn. And I am honestly telling you, in that case also I would say, yeah - they took the idea from Jinn. Like I was clearly aware of some concepts being repeated in KD that were shown in YHM earlier as Sonali Jafar was the writer of both of the shows. Point is, I won't say my show is original and out of the box just because I am loving it. Some people in Jinn's form just get overboard with their favorites and cross the limit of blind fandom. That's irritating. You are more matured than me, so you laugh it off. I get pissed off real quick. 😵 Something that I have trying to control for ever but still am unsuccessful. 😒

Hi5 on first two. DD, yes overload of family drama from bits I saw. ROFL, control. Thank you, and even I agree but will still say they will copy certain scenes and we can't help. Like some scenes are in all shows but still people love them. I will quote my Atharva here, out of context but dialogue hit me and intensity, "Dhadkanon ke bhi apne usool hote hai, ye har kisi ke naam pe toh nahi rukte"

Coming back to discussion, each person would have not seen all shows so they will love it, and it's okay. Have myself seen such copied scenes in 5 different shows but I laugh it saying this show did it best. Let go is the secret to life.

Yes, I have more maturity cos experienced massive mess, plus have many times loved sidetracked couples so laughing it off was learnt, cos kise complaint kare?! You have to let go shows and them later. Ultimately your peace of mind helps. Plus Yjhjk show ka start phase hai, have heard similar stuff happened in Nazar forum, we are lucky we were not active then. That's why I'm forums I prefer staying in CG and AT, later to have normal discussions cos in forum you will be attacked, even if you are right.

Also remember if people call their show the best, it doesn't become. For them it is and for you it isn't. You can't expect them to call your fav show the best. Fir baat hi kya thi? All have their choices.

Right. You expect but not everyone takes them well later, so I don't blame PH. Like shows start very new at start and then cos of trp presure change 360 degrees. Rather it's better they start with typical traits along with unique traits in a lead and then go ahead so they can develop characters and 360 degrees will not be a part, cos otherwise it looks horrible.

That's your take but team was focusing more on VFX. They wanted to possibly give their VFX team more exposure, they might be doing this as a pilot project and VFX team would be wanting to do something more massive, so they are experimenting and doing a Swot analysis. There are many possibilities, and many see show just for VFX. Yes, they are but a huge part of crowd who sees the show, doesn't come here.

Even we do feel about characterization. Joke is people complain more about Aman, anything he does is wrong and Roshni always suffers, now I don't connect to this. Even posted in forum. Talking about blind fandom, all forums have it, anything leads do will be justified. You know what's the latest and perfect example? I Rofled and even you will if I tell you, but I dunno where to tell cos people will be stalking us, lol.

Exactly!! Hi5; so I stay away from forums. Yes, somewhere they are but they ignore and get used to it, too or laugh it off as I say. Fandoms actually suffer most, cos they keep wasting precious time in discussions and arguments.. which are worthless.

You know what's the latest and perfect example? I Rofled and even you will if I tell you, but I dunno where to tell cos people will be stalking us, lol.

I don't have problem with copying, just execution. But let's skip this topic because we'll never reach a middle ground here. 😆 The dialogue is nice.

Also remember if people call their show the best, it doesn't become. For them it is and for you it isn't. You can't expect them to call your fav show the best. Fir baat hi kya thi? All have their choices.

I don't expect them to call my favorite their favorite. Because I told you, the idea of good acting varies from person to person. But at least be reasonable and have the decency to agree to disagree. Let me quote Mukhi here - Hum dono me takrar hote hain kyunki hamare vichar nahi milte. Par maine Kabhi tujhe girane ki koshish nahi ki hain. Teri Izzat karta hoon. Maine Kabhi apni maryada langhne ki koshish nahi ki hain.
