Even I think that he is probably pretending just for the sake of Ansh's happiness. After all, he was vehemently opposing the marriage and I don't think Bhasmika had an opportunity to hypnotise Adi. And a sudden u-turn in the behavior is obviously suspicious.

Well, in all possibility Adi might be pretending. But, Adi being hypnotized is also a probability. Although, I don't know how did she do it. Other than these two, I don't think there is any third explanation.
