TOI: When Sparsh cried heart out

In the times when actors don't get along on set, leave alone being friends, it is really heartening to see a strong bond between co-actors.


Rupali Ganguly's last day of shoot on the sets ofParvarrish — Kuchh Khattee Kuchh Meethi on Wednesday brought forth the strong bond between her and her on-screen family. "I cried a lot. The whole day I controlled my tears since I was in Bharatnatyam attire and had put on a lot of makeup. But in the evening during cake cutting, I and Aashika Bhatia, who plays Ginny, just couldn't control our tears and we ended up smudging all the Kajal. Rupali aunty too cried a lot. I am already missing her. She is like family to me now," said Sparsh Khanchandani, who plays Raashi, the on-screen younger daughter of Rupali aka Pinky Ahuja.

Sources said Rakshit Wahi, who plays Rupali's on-screen son Sunny, proudly declared "Mai nahi rounga kyunki mai mard hoon," and ran to his room where he cried his heart out.

Newly married Rupali, who is leaving the show owing to her pregnancy, said, "Sparsh is very emotional. She called me up as soon as she heard that I was leaving and kept saying, 'I don't want another mom'. They are kids after all!"

We wish Rupali a fulfilling break from work.
