Somya Seth shot to fame with Star Plus's show Navya. Later she was seen in a daily soap Dil Ki Nazar Se Khoobsurat on Sony Entertainment Television which tanked without a trace.

Post that she made appearances in The Serial and Yeh Hai Aashiqui. But the talented actress is currently on the lookout for yet another pivotal project that will further strengthen her resume as a performing artist.

Now, we were rather shocked when we came across Somya's Facebook status which read, "This is a kind information, that I dnt know any Abhishek Gupta so called co-ordinator who has been sendin regardless msg usin my name. Pls ignore!

Concerned, we contacted the pretty actress to know about the incident.

We learnt from her that a person named Abhishek Gupta sent out messages to all the producers and casting directors saying that he's a good friend of Somya, requesting them to message her details of upcoming auditions as she's in desperate need of work.

The act, left the actress speechless.

She stated, "It has been a week since I have been thinking to take up something interesting as my dad has strictly told me to either get married or get back to work. I am a person who has earned an image of not asking for work. I have always been offered work and when a guy in the name of Abhishek Gupta called me up, I thought of auditioning for the same. But then things went for a toss post the audition."

"I was suddenly bombarded with messages and I was clueless as to what was going on. My friends from my industry started calling me and that is when I learnt that it was none other than him who sent out this message. It is strange because I do not know this person who claims to be my friend. When I called him up he apologized."

Somya did think of taking a police action but then the patient being that she is, decided to forgo what happened.

"I am a patient person and let go the act. I just thought of laughing it off."

Talking about her dad giving her options, we wonder why she chose work over marriage.

She quipped clarifying the air immediately. He said, "Marriage is a beautiful feeling and so is being in love. I am currently focusing on work as when the time is right and I feel compatible with someone, I will definitely take the plunge."
