Hello guys! I'm back. Thanks for the wonderful comments. Sorry for being late. Here's the next part of my story. Tried to focus here on how important friends are, apart from love. 😳Not much of Anya here, but I hope you guys like it.😃

Part 3

Navya slid out of the curtains with a jolt. Meeta gave her a suspicious look. "Woh maa, mera dupatta atak gaya tha. Toh theek kar rahi thi. Ho gaya" Navya said, loud enough for Anant to hear, and he tiptoed out from the other end. "Theek hai, jaldi tere kamre mein jaa. Ek surprise hai tere liye" Meeta said hoping Navya would like it. "SURPRISE?? Kya maa? Mere liye? WOW" Navya was thrilled. She always loved surprises. "Apne kamre mein jaa toh!"

"Okay, I'm going" Navya said with a 32-inch smile.

She opened the door of her room. "SURPRISE!!!!!!!" They screamed. Navya was very excited to see them. "Ritz and Appy!! You guys came?? WOW!! Yeh maa ka surprise tha. I can't believe this. Maa ne kaha tha ki mujhe tum dono se bhi door rehna chahiye. Ab yeh kya?"

Ritz and Appy came dodging towards her, and engulfed her into a tight hug. "Navya!! We missed you so much" They said together. Ritz narrated how they landed here in Kanpur.

*Flashback* - Two days ago

"TRING TRING"

"Namaste Aunty! Kaise ho aap? Navya kaisi hai?"

"Ritz beta, hum sab acche hain. Aur tum toh jaanti ho, Navya kanpur mein hai." Meeta did not how to start the conversation.

Ritz was a bit disappointed that she had asked Navya to go to Kanpur, coz' she had made plans with Appy and Navya for the vacation, and she also knew how much Navya loved Anant, and what it would mean for her to stay away from him.

"Haan aunty, hum log use bahut miss kar rahe hain." She said with a heavy heart.

"Usike baare mein baat karne keliye call kiya hai Ritz" Meeta said in a firm tone. "Mujhe aisa nahi karna chahiye tha. Mujhe atleast use tum dono se alag nahi karna chahiye tha. Tum dono toh 4th standard se uske saath ho. Maa hoon na, kya karoon? Main ghabra gayi thi. Par ab mujhe ehsaas ho gaya hai, ki uski khushiyan tum dono se hi judi hain. Aur mera use Kanpur bhejne ka maksat bhi poora ho gaya. Woh uss ladke ko bhool gayi hai. Lagta to aisa hi hai."

Ritz was shocked to hear this. But she thought it best to stay mum, and talk it all out with Navya later. "Jee aunty, yeh toh acchi baat hain na" She said trying not to sound upset.

"Isliye, Ritz, main chahti hoon ki iss baar main Navya ko uski khushiyan lauta doon." Meeta started. "Main chahti hoon, ki tum aur Appy yahan aao, shaadi mein, phir do hafte baad, tum teeno saath mein Mumbai laut sakti ho. Maine tum dono ki mummy se bhi baat kar li hai." She was happy that Navya was obeying her wishes, and wanted to reciprocate the same.

Ritz beamed with joy. "Jee aunty!! ZAROOR!! Hum dono aaj hi, balki abhi nikalte hain. Ticket ka intezaam to ho hi jaayega. Thank you Aunty!! Thank you so much, humein hamari Navya lautane keliye! See you in Kanpur!"

"Khush raho!! See you soon" Meeta wished this idea would click, hoping it would bring back that missing smile on her daughter's face.

*Flashback ends*

"Aur yeh thi hamari filmy story." Ritz giggled. "Teri mom ko toh bilkul shak nahi hua yaar. Unhe lagta hai ki tu Anant ko bhool hi chuki hai" She was admiring how her innocent friend Navya had become so secretive all of a sudden.

"Main Anant ko kabhi nahi bhool sakti Ritz! Woh ab mere saanson mein bas chuka hai. It's not possible for me to forget him" Navya blushed as she said this.

"Oye hoye kudiye! Pyaar mein itni badal gayi meri Navya darling" Appy started pulling her legs.

"BEEP BEEP"

Ritz had got a text message. "Ranbir ka tha. Woh Anant ke saath hai"

"Kya?? Ranbir ko bhi saath layi hai?" Navya was dumbstruck.

"Of course, tujhe lagta hai ki main use wahan akele chodke aati? Use wahan koi aur ladki mil jaati ho?" Ritz said trying to explain the situation.

Appy & Navya burst out laughing. "Is ladki ka kuch nahi ho sakta"

Meanwhile, Anant was describing how he reached Kanpur, the feeling of seeing Navya after so long, he went on and on and on.

"Arre bas kar mere bhai. Main jaanta hoon ki tu Navya se bahut pyaar karta hai. Accha hai na? Tu mujhe kyun paka raha hai yaar?" Ranbir was bored of listening to his descriptions. He wanted to explore the city, paint the town red. "I am not here to listen to girlie gossip" He said sternly.

"Theek hai, theek hai, itna bhav mat kha. Agli baar jab tu mujhe RItz ke baare mein batayega na, tab dekh loonga tujhe" Anant said, irritated.

"Chalo chalo, sangeet shuru honewala hai" Everyone was called downstairs for the function.

Anant had to somehow hide from Meeta. He did not know how, but he had to. Navya was scared too, that she will have to face Anant's family, as they had already seen her at their place for dinner with her friends, but her condition was not like that of Anant. She could have said this was her cousin's wedding, but the same would not hold good for Anant. Meeta would rip him apart, had he come in front of her.

He prayed to God to give him the strength to face any difficulty that night. Thankfully for him and Navya, he was asked to help with the arrangements at the entrance of the house, and not inside, so he could escape from Meeta's prying eyes. Navya was asked to transfer flower baskets from the entrance. So he had managed to pull Navya along too. They would share a sweet talk whenever they bumped into each other and when someone neared them, would proceed to their respective work.

Anant went inside to check if the lights at the entrance were working fine. And when he was about to come back outside, he heard someone say, "Arre yeh to Anant hai!"

This time it was Anant's turn to be petrified.
