Sau Dard Hai - Part 3

That night Navya and Anant were sitting in there room...silence prevailed between them. Finally Anant decided to ask her...
"Navya?"
Navya was shocked. She hadn't heard her name from him for so long. She felt extremely happy...
"Haan...haan bolo"
"Vo kal tumhara koi friend aa raha hai na...koi A-...A-?"
"Akshat! uska naam Akshat hai..."
"Haan wohi...vo...uhh...mujhe Appy ka call aaya tha...tum kal usse milne chali jaao..."
"Anant kal functon hai...din bhar itne kaam rahenge...mai kaise jaa sakti hoon...?"
"Haan...to thori der me aa jaana...tumhaara..err...close friend hai na?"
"Haan...vo actually hamara khaas dost tha...hamesha mujhe tang karta rehta tha, hamesha chedta tha...par mera...i mean hamara bahot khyaal bhi rakhta tha...hum bas do saal hi ek class me the uske baad uski family abroad chali gayi...phir usse contact nahi rha...sirf Appy kabhi kabhi usse baat karti thi..."
"Hmm...tum kal usse milne chali jaana...Appy bahot zidd kar rhi hai..."
"par ghar par kya...?"
"Mai samhaal loonga...tumhe drop kar ke phir ek ghante me pick up karne bhi aa jaunga..."
"ohh...ok...thanks..."
Navya's heart was doing a spring dance! She thanked Akshat mentally. Finally because of him Anant had a fine conversation with her after so long! And he would also pick her up and drop her! After ages Navya slept with a smile on her face.

The next morning Navya woke up and placed Anant's shirt on the bed hopefully and got ready. She was delighted when he wore it and came downstairs. Finally she feeling that there misunderstandings were getting sorted. Maybe Anant was forgiving her. Slowly, but yes...he was...
She had a tough time getting permission from Sugandha. She taunted her and her words hurt her...but Bhabhi came up and teased her about Anant picking her up and dropping her.
Finally Anant left the office with a glance at Navya and she couldn't have been happier.

At around 1 in the afternoon Anant reached his room and saw Navya getting ready. She was looking into the mirror and putting sindoor in her maang. Anant realised that he had forgotten how beautiful she looked. When she saw Anant, she quickly turned around and told him that she was ready. They both went downstairs and on seeing them Baba was visibly shocked and Buadadi was frowning. She tried hard not to grin.

"Kya hua...?" Anant asked her in the car.
"Kuch nahi vo...ye...seat belt..." Navya was trying to clutch it but was unable to do so.
"ohh...haan...vo thora tight ho gaya hai...lao mai kar doon..."
He bent forward towards her and in the process of pulling the strap he went very close to her. There faces were inches away. He realized this soon enough and was left staring into her eyes, eyes which he hadn't looked so closely into for a while. She looked back into his and felt his arms around her which were encircling her. She was drawing shallow breaths and couldn't believe how much she had missed this. Anant could feel her breath on his lips and her scent was driving him crazy. He forgot everything and the only thing he remembered was that he loved her the most. Navya could feel him nearing her, was it for real or was she imagining it, she wasn't sure about. Anant was just about to kiss her when suddenly there was a noise outside. Lochan Bhaiya was in the garden watering the plants. All happy forgetfulness was gone and reality struck both of them. Navya was embarrassed and Anant was irritated. She conveniently looked out of the window and neither of them said anything throughout there journey.
Finally they reached the cafe joint where Akshat was supposed to meet them. Ranbir couldn't make it as he had some urgent work.
Navya stepped out of the car and looked at Anant. "Vo tum kab tak aaoge?"...
"Ek ghante tak aata hoon..."
"ok...thanks...bye"
"Bye..."
Navya moved inside the campus of the cafe. It was an open area, a sort of garden, with tables scattered here and there. Navya turned around and looked at Anant. Anant was retarding the car from the parking area and preparing to move out of the cafe zone when he saw Navya staring at him. She waved at him and he smiled lightly. She looked really happy after that and started proceeding further. After so long he had given a genuine smile to her. He was staring at her from the distance. He was waiting for the cars in front to get out and meanwhile replaying scenes from a few minutes back. What happened in the car just now had left him aching for more. He wanted things to be like they were previously. He wanted her...and today he realized how badly he missed her and the love between them. It had been so long since he had held her, kissed her or hugged her.
At just that exact moment someone hugged Navya from the back and lifted her off her feet. He was catching her by her waist, turning round.
"Ye Kya...? Akshat!! Akshat plz! Utaro!! Plz Akshat! Ye kya kar rhe ho! Mai gir jaaungi!!" Navya was shouting. People on other tables were looking at them.
Anant looked at them too. He didn't like this at all. That's keeping it mildly. It was like a large monster had suddenly erupted in him and was clawing at his insides. Who the hell is this guy to hold her like that? What sort of friend does something like this? Blood was rushing into his brain. He dropped her and Appy and Rits were on her sides now. But Anant was waiting for Navya to slap him. And to his frustration, she didn't. He was deciding what to do next when the cars from behind started honking. "Oy! So gaya hai kya??!" someone yelled from behind. Finally without looking back at them he drove away.

Okay thats a nice update and I loved the line ,"Anant was waiting for Navya to slap him." It made me laugh.. good going will wait for the next update.. o BTW I love it when Anant babua becomes over possessive.. do update the next part soon.
