Why do thy need to shw host flirting with judges or participants almost every othr reality shw these days... Its not so cool

Hahaha that explains why both were taken, Kapil was right!! I really don't want to bash them but hosting is just not their cup of tea, in my opinion. They're better actors than anchors especially Gautam Rode..I think he will do better as an actor in his daily soap that will soon air on Star Plus.
Yes, the flirting isn't cool, I mean I now they're joking, but it makes Karan look immature, and I always wonder how awkward Shilpa must feel as shes much older and married and has a child now.

Well, gotta say i mostly agree with you. I've been watching NB since I was a kid and in all probability, the first reality show after KBC but this season has been the most disappointing of all. For starters, I don't find any jodi to be up to the mark of the previous seasons. They're all very mediocre but it's just been the first week so am willing to give them chance to improve.

1. Shilpa is an excellent dancer and was a fab judge in JDJ's first season. Dunno what's up with her here. She seems to have her priorities wrong.

2. Everyone's already spoken my mind on Sajid. I needn't add anything.

3. I hate to admit but I agree with this point as well. I have recently come to admire Gautam a lot and am fond of Wahi as well but I don't find their hosting engaging enough. Jay's vote appeal has more power and energy than their anchoring. I would LOVE to have Manish Paul, he's handsdown the best male anchor on TV. And I also agree that it is more appropriate to have an anchor each from both the genders. The only male-male anchoring I've enjoyed for a reality show was Hussain-Chang in Indian Idol.

4. I'm not too happy with the judging either though i haven't warmed up to any pair yet. But I kinda liked Shefali-Parag's performance. A lot of others' markings were unfair though. I understand that a performance needs to be liked by the audience and for that mere steps isn't enough but at least the basics should be correct.

Terence, Vaibhavi and Shiamak would make a deadly combo but that ain't happening. Judges always consist of a Bollywood actor, one choreographer and a director, fortunately or unfortunately. Besides we can't have all people judging the technique especially since these contestants are non-dancers. Shilpa Shetty will be there for glamour quotient but I dunno what they were thinking when they took Sajid.

Well, after all this, I can only wish that the season improves as it progresses.

True, I saw the 1st two seasons without missing much and I don;t feel the "nach" in the title anymore. Shilpa must be a good dancer b/c she is fit and flexible ) I follow some of her yoga videos but she's not providing valuable or fair feedback in NB5. For glamor quotient, they should just take a glamorous and lively female host...I dont get how glamorous women make good judges. I didn;t like Shefali-Parag because I felt like the judges were mostly liking them because of how "hot" they are. I seriously didn;t see muuch of dance in the act. The only impressive bit was when Parag lifted her with one hand. Other than that, Charlie-Amar and Suhasi-Jaisheel had more steps to remember. Yes, Jay is better, his voice just has that anchoring quality lol!! Paul is excellent, no wonder he was offered to host the Bollywood awards on Star Plus recently!! Thanks for the reply :)

His a director he shud knw stuffs. Last day he said to Karan-nisha dat dere MAGIC was missing!!! I mean wat da hell was dat its telling Amitabh Bachan dat u cnt act🤪. both da judges said dat der was magic. nd da shocking of alll was when he said Charlie dat she havnt reached her partner's level even both da judges were lyk ''Wat the hell is he saying??''😲 Nd he luvd rahul's dance although it was horrible nd gave him a 9...i mean HOW??????????

i hv no prb wid da hosts but i seriously want Sajid to b replaced!!!😡

Agree with the TM. Nice topic btw👍🏼

I only watched bits and pieces of 2nd and 3rd season (where Hussain-Tina and Sanjeeda-Aamir were winners) the rest I didn't watch and those bits and pieces were more interesting than this season (I have only watched the very first episode that aired last week so far).

Even the first episode I skipped a number of performances - they didn't even have any spark except the last performance on Le Le Maza Le song (the ones that did quite a bit of Salsa).

Coming to hosting, I was hooked on to JDJ5 (not bringing in the show just giving an example) from the first episode because of the hosting - sure Ragini was a little less good than Manish but he more than made up for Ragini's part too (at times). Manish is a really good anchor and they should really have had him as a host.

I get that the producers must have been going for a 'bromance' type of feel for the hosting but it hasn't worked so far (with me). Manish is a lot better than Wahi and Rode at bromancing. Btw, someone mentioned it's Karan's first time hosting - he did a bit of hosting in about 2 episodes of JDJ5 recently where he was a contestant and even that too was a bit cold at times. I really hope both Karan and Rode improve real soon or I'll be skipping their parts too. Also, you need real chemistry for bromancing to work otherwise it's just like someone telling you a really bad joke but you still laugh in response because that's the polite thing to do. And please stop flirting with the judges - it seems forced not natural good-humour one.

Coming to the judges - ahhh, where should I start from?
Shilpa is a very good dancer but her judging so far (I only watched first episode where only comments were given) has been not up to par.
Sajid, please bring KJo at least he knows to speak his mind and doesn't focus only on Entertainment, entertainment and entertainment.
Terence I agreed with most of his comments. He seems like a really good dancer and an even better choreographer.

Contestants, they are all not really putting in the effort it seems. At least their very first performances should have more of a bang in them - like I said I didn't really enjoy about 95% of the performances.

Even now I am contemplating whether I should even give the 2nd and 3rd episodes any try considering the first episode bored the heck out of me and I only watched it because I didn't want to work on my project😳

The set should also have been designed more creatively - its not anything extra ordinary really. Sorry, no offense but they really should have given it more thought; if the set is more creative then choreographers have more chances of showcasing creative performances. I remember watching a few clips of Dance India Dance (I think, where non-celebs participate) and their set was really good.

I really hope they don't air too much of unnecessary comedy and show more performances and comments (not edited goody-good ones) but real honest ones where the contestants are actually told where they went wrong and how to improve their DANCING and not just the entertainment factor in their performances. I also hope they call the choreographers on the stage when comments and marks and given - the choreographers are also one of the most important factor in making a performance good or bad and they should be given their due when they do really well😊.

This season does have somethings good about it - a variety of contestants: old, middle age and younger lot. Some people really can dance and some people are really putting in the effort so kudos to all of them👏

I just wanna say a line in support of shilpa. She is an excellent dancer and trained in Bharatnatyam. She judged season1 of jdj and also zara nachke dikha 2, where her co judges were dancer choreographers and she did put in quite a few intelligent and quite well thought out remarks.

What i feel is wrong is, this season , the makers spent a lot of time to get quite a few married jodis because of the authenticity of jodi factor, that caused controversy in season 3 and 4. But in the process are giving more stress on back story, chemistry story, how they found each other. The dancing thing is a big joke at the moment. Also I am noticing star does not bring choreographers on stage to hear marks or give them mention, which imo is wrong. more videos about their practices should be shown. When terrence makes it a point to mention the choreographers do we see them. Yes most of them are well known from dance reality shows but not every one follows those shows. Also there is no point having someone like terrence on board and wasting his critique and making him laud really average performances.
IMO, since the show isnamed Nach Baliye, we need to put equal importance on nach and not just baliye and chemistry.
