the contestants who I think is trying hard to portray what they are not are himruta, and mrunal and sangram(these 2 r eliminated though)..
i can not connect with them...it is clear to me that that they are wearing a mask and r not showing their real side..it is not bad though, this is a show if they don't want to show their real side and only trying hard to show what people will like..that is completely wise thing to do...

I agree with TMs opinion. First i could not stand Payal and her nautankis.Yeah Mrunal drama was toomuch but in the end the way they were attacked before eliminations was bad. I could not connect with himrutha but had initially liked himanshoo and his smiling personality. But as the show progressed i found he is not what he potrays to be.

I think Amruta comes out as very honest. She speaks about difficult issues in a very straightforward way. She says she struggles with Himmanshoo's temper and changing herself for him. At times the stress of the show tears at her. She also sees him as a guide and a person who stabilizes her. She seems insecure at times and admits that . I did not know her before the show, but there appears a grounded quality about her that appears as quite real. I had no opinion of her, but I like who she appears to be.

I used to be a huge Himanshoo fan for many years but the portrayal of him here completely turns me off. He seems short tempered and while he knows Amruta is insecure he seems to exploit that at times. He seems not particularly romantic putting off marriage for his career and witholding the ring she keeps asking for. The editors have not done a good job with him. He appears because of editing perhaps as selfish and a bit controlling. He talks about needing space after marriage. He is a bit paternalistic with Amruta and unwilling to compromise for her. He is certainly not what he has appeared to be.

I think in any couple in love there should be a "wow" factor. By that I mean both members of the couple should be wowed by each other a bit. In many of the couples you an see that one or both members really admire the other member. With Amruta you can see that. But Himmanshoo does not seem "wowed" By Amruta.

Again, we can perhaps blame the script or the editing but the characterization has done him no favors.

Almost all couples have been shown in negative manner at some point of time along with positive. Everyone has their good traits and flaws as well because no is perfect. However we must consider the fact that this show is totally scripted and they are told what to say and react so one cant judge their personality from this show coz I am sure they are told to be like this.
TBH I cant see anyones real side on this show everyone seems to have some kind of mask on their faces.
As far as himruta are concerned, its ur opinion and I dont wanna say anything to it coz it will just turn into another fangroup fight but if they have been shown in a bad way at some point of time, then even ur favourite has and we have to accept it coz its a scripted show.

I think the show is edited and scripted, but I think that there are genuine characteristics that come out. For instance, I think Payal cries easily, Upen is calm under pressure, Rohit is very admiring of Ash always, Parag was self-effacing.

Their is a script, but I think that the characteristics that come out like Amruta's outspokeness are based on seeds of truth. It is not like these people are given random roles to play. There are elements of what they are like and it is edited and scripted.

yes i agree with you...it is a show where cameras r on...we can not get real pictures of any of them.so i really don't get it how people can literally hate any contestants based on that...and i didn't say that himruta is projected in negative light..i said i somehow can not connect with them, though i really liked them initially...anyways thanks for ur opinion..

@Natkat, so for instance, take Mrunal. Do you think that she is judgmental in real life as she is portrayed. Or do you think Ekta gave her a script to follow like a character in a soap?

I am just curious. Mrunal seemed really negative. But is there a seed of reality?

Yesterday Mayuresh seemed uncomfortable at the accusation of being fake. So you think they are genuinely cornered and their real reaction? Or that was scripted for them to look uneasy? I mean are they really all such good actors?
