| 'When hungry, I crave for sev puri' |
Since I love junk food, I crave for sev puri whenever I am hungry. If I get some, my day is made.
A snack you always carry with you?
I often carry lots of fruits to keep my craving for junk food at bay.
Which is your most important meal of the day?
It's breakfast because it keeps me going through the day. In our profession, there is never a fixed time for lunch, so I eat a heavy breakfast. I usually eat poha, paranthas, dosa but eggs and toast is what I enjoy eating the most.
The food you crave for when depressed?
Chocolates! They really pep me up and make me feel good, especially dark chocolates.
What's on your wish list when you are very happy?
I really enjoy eating seafood, and Thai fare too. You will often find me at the latest seafood restaurant in town. A good meal really makes me very happy.
Your most memorable meal so far?
Recently, I went to the US with my fiance Alex. There, his mother had cooked scrumptious grilled chicken and we made salad together. The lunch was laid out in the garden and the weather was just perfect for an outdoor meal. I just loved it.
A dish you've cooked for a loved one?
Since Alex loves Indian food, I keep making chicken gravy dishes for him. I enjoy cooking the traditional Pad Thai Noodles for my parents.
A cuisine you may have heard about, and are keen to sample?
I am dying to try Greek food. I have heard a lot about it and just can't wait to sample some of it.
The most outrageous food you have come across?
Nothing in particular, I keep coming across badly-cooked food all the time.
Your favourite dish from your mom's kitchen?
Dal Pakwan, it is a typical Sindhi dal with lots of imli chatni.
