'That's baseless and false!'

Ishaa Koppikar rubbishes allegations of being distracted by her cell phone whilst judging 'Nach Baliye 3'

MUMBAI: 'Khallas' girl Ishaa Koppikar, who is currently one of the co-judges in 'Nach Baliye-3' ( 'NB3', Star Plus) is all set to get into a demure avataar for Sooraj Barjatya's upcoming movie Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi'.

Ishaa says, "Like Ram Gopal Varma had the confidence that I could transform into an 'oomph-girl' for the 'Khallas' ('Company') song, Soorajji also felt that I could slip into Rajshri's traditional family drama in this movie," smiles the 'Darling' babe who after ages stayed home to observe Diwali.

"I adorned the house with rangoli and lit earthen lamps, lanterns and candles-but no electric lights at all, " she insists as she refutes allegations that she is often distracted with calls and SMSs on her cell-phone, while she is judging the 'NB-3' show contestants.

She retorts furiously, "That's baseless and false. I am all attention for the performing couple. It's only during the breaks, that I check my cell-phone and respond if it's urgent. Being essentially an actor and an ex-Miss India contestant, I know what these performers are going through. I don't think I would ever be indifferent."

Ishaa also denies that there is 'mechanical judging' where all the three judges (including David Dhawan and Vaibhavi Merchant) declare 'identical marks'. "It just goes to show that we are on the same wave-length. After judging a dozen episodes giving marks becomes a habit," clarifies Ishaa who also feels peeved that loads of viewer SMSs can oust meritorious contestants. "Guess, it's all part of the game. But I have yet to figure out on what basis the couples get voted out," reacts Ishaa.

What has happened to her RGV movie 'Shabri' where she plays a deglam underworld don? "Yes, it's disheartening that the movie is delayed. But Ramu sir, who has had an unlucky patch of late, has assured me that he will orchestrate a well-hyped release. In 'Shabri', I speak mostly with my eyes," says Ishaa.

Apart from 'Right Ya Wrong' (with Sunny Deol), Subhash Ghai has signed Ishaa for three more movies, which includes a comedy. Moreover, in Atul Agnihotri's 'Hello' Ishaa plays a call-center executive.
