After playing a ruffian loverboy on 'Paraya Dhan', the actor will be seen in a different avatar
Returning after a nine month long sabbatical actor Manish Goyal says his role in 'Kaajjal' (Sony) will be diametrically opposite to that of the suave father he played in his latter days in 'Bhabhi' (Star Plus). "I have broken away from the father image of 'Bhabhi' and tried something different in 'Paraya Dhan'. And, I'm now about to take on a role that is completely different from all the earlier roles I have essayed," says the enthused actor.
Although his role in 'Kaajjal' will be restricted to around 50 episodes, he will provide the crucial angle in the love story between the two lead actors in the serial played by Surveen Chawla and Apurva Agnihotri. "I will be playing a silent, passionate, honest and nice person," is how Manish describes the character.
The actor starts shooting from December. "This is the first time that I will be playing my own age," laughs the actor, who received varied reactions for his stubbled ruffian look in 'Paraya Dhan' (Star One). Manish, along with wife Poonam, will also be hosting the semi-finals of 'Nach Baliye2' (Star One), and he is excited.
"My participation in 'Nach Baliye' changed the course of my career, and it opened up new facets of my personality," he says. Over the last one year, Manish has performed at several awards shows including dancing with Malaika Arora on 'Nach Baliye' recently.
