pritilovesnb, do read my posts and react.
nighteyes, this is exactly what i meant by sermonising. Making a dance performance an indication of someone's character and morality. feeling very morally superior and passing judgements on them based on 1 dance, edited reactions and aticles in an unreliable media.

oh, and aren't u being judgemental towards us, the ppl who hated N-G's performance?😈

Yes priti i think we will have to disagree. we judge things all the time. But so far i have not, repeat not, called a single critic of NG 'rubbish' or 'morally wrong'. you criticise their dance, i'm perfectly ok with that. i'll even join in vis-a-cis certain steps. but don't make that an assessment of their character, of who they are as people. they fell in my estimation'... thats a big thing to say.
do you react to every couple that way? acc to the media (both this and last time) some couples distributed SIM cards to win. people routinely use the community card to attract votes. do these people fall in your estimation too? the mid day last year carried an article they interviewed Sachin and Supriya's daughter
who said that she was an adopted child, they had always been indifferent to her but brought her to the show regularly to get votes. i don't even know whether to beleive that story or not. i refuse to say nasty, condescending things about Supriya Sachin based on that story.
Finally, this is not about trying to prove my point. Everyday i think i'm not going to argue with people any longer but then i read posts like 'superiority complex' 'rubbish' and i react. tum kitna jaante ho inko? say 'i don't like them' 'they dance badly' and i'll agree. i'll respect your right to say it. but why hurt people who like them by claiming moral superiority? lets all decide whether they are good ir bad dancers, par woh achche human beings hai ya nahi -- thats between them and their consciences. lets leave it there. thats all i'm asking for.

Hi pj04. I really liked your post, not because i like NG. I liked it because it voices a lot of my complaints with the show. i agree that technically all the jodis of NB2 seem better than those of NB1 (except Varun Rajeshwari, of course) but still there's seems to be something missing. i don't know what it is. i miss Farhaan a lot though. he was my fav judge and i miss the cool, hip quotient he brought to the show. remember, his moonwalking was so cute.
Anyway, i do think that Tanaaz Bhaktyaar are really good... i like watching them dance. i think all the others can have that spark but the format and the controversies seem to be bogging the show down. And the same judges seem more irregular in their marking this time round.

This is not a question regarding only N-G, but to almost all the fans out here. Is the morality of an act only determined by comparing it to another act? If in another situation, a wrongdoing did not receive due punishment, should we not criticize every other wrongdoing after that?

When Manav and Shweta were caught in the SMS scandal, people started saying that GHT's fans vote 36000 times and get away with it. I'm not saying what MS did was wrong; I'm just wondering why people use another example to justify it?

What N-G did may not be "evil" per se, but it definitely goes against the values most Indians were brought up with. And I agree, people have been far more lenient in other cases with other jodis. But that doesn't change what G-N did, does it?

Sorry, if I offend anyone. I don't have anything against G-N.

what you are saying is completely true but the point is that you are assuming that they were indeed insulting judges and were venting out anger. now look at thier performance and see ...from my point of view...i feel they said(in a very mediocre style)...that we are back...we will rub the noses of other competitors in dust and we are up for the challenge....they no longer seem to have done anything wong now. so the whole punishment/ insolency thing depends on what they were trying to say. that interpretation is however individualistic. when people see picaso...one person sees a masterpiece, another sees an opportunity to make money and yet another may see random lines drawn by a kid.

based on wild card round ...shweta was the best choice for come back...you won't get any argument on that from me. but when judges take a performance personally...create a whole hoopla over it .....and soon people are looking at it with jaundiced eye and finding complex interpretations of it and are ready to crucify a jodi based on those perceptions...now that is what i have problem with. mainly....because i don't see what the judges see. i see a energy packed mediocre performance saying just what that song said...

incidentally as i always say...winning is not everything...some people are competitive and they feel they need to excel and need reaffirmation of that publically....they compete with thier complete potential. on the other hand there are competitors who evaluate a win and decide...you know we are good...we don't need reaffirmations....beside the effort is not worth the prize ....given that there are loop holes in system....let us take it easy and walk away. maybe ng belong to that category...it is rumoured they did not want back in but came back becoz they were being called spoilsport.in thier place i too would have walked away .

hey pj4 and night eyes great posts as usual. yes night eyes i agree that using another example is the weakest form of argument. but i think what people are trying to convey is that behaviour is comparative, that one's right and wrong are frequently situation based than objective. pjo4 loved the picasso example. i really like picasso and my best friend hates him, so the eg struck home.
[when judges take a performance personally...create a whole hoopla over it .....and soon people are looking at it with jaundiced eye and finding complex interpretations of it and are ready to crucify a jodi based on those perceptions]. completely agree and thats what have been trying to say all along. you put it very well.
And finally fashion_2005, feels great to be called brilliant and mature 😉 😉. Thanks a lot.

i wished they danced positively and come back to nb2, and i hope the judges will not be nakedly biased to any other jodis 🤢
