incidentally jdj is the indianised copy of " dancing with the stars" while nb is a twist on the original. while nb has embraced bollywood style dancing(which incorporates every known form of dance and its interpretation), the american original"dancing with the stars" was more about pure forms of dancing with style intermixes allowed. for example...there was ballroom dancing(austrian, foxtrot,waltz....), latin (saamba, tango, rumba....), freeform(african, folkloric, modern, interpretive), ballet, jive, hiphop, jazz...etc. normally the choreographers kept the form preety pure and it was fun to watch an entire song composed in a certain style(incidentally all the participants were also becoming masters of these forms).jdj tried to maintain the original format but failed in eye of extreme bollywood influence.
The only complain i have with indian version is that the dances are bollywood and i doubt anyone is benefitting or learning anything from it. also it has become more of popularity, starladen controversial show where there is very little room for dance. on the other hand indian version is much more exciting and funfilled than the original and you don't have to be a dance expert to enjoy it.but then in america/hongkong dancing is also a competitive sport while in india it is a form of entertainment.
