Malaika Arora Khan
Don't be surprised if you notice Malaika Arora Khan speaking Hindi more fluently than she did in last season's Nach Baliye.

After all, she's been taking lessons in Hindi from none other her husband, Arbaaz Khan. "He watched me the first time and realised I was speaking in English a lot with the contestants. This time around, he's helped me get bit fluent in Hindi so I can interact with the couples more effectively."

TV grind

Even though she's a part of the show, Malaika admits she's a huge fan as well. "I had a blast the last time around. Initially, it was a bit tough, but once I got into the mood of the show it was really easy," she says.

Coming from a filmi family she doesn't really have any connections with the small screen, so how did she manage to get to know the participants better? "The rapport that I built with the jodis came naturally.

Over a period of time, my interaction with them made us bond and we became one big family. However, for the second season I have done my home work," she says.

Malaika reveals that help came from her mother-in-law, Salma. "She's an avid television watcher. So she told me who's acting on what show and playing which character. I think this way it's better that I know a bit about them before I actually meet them in person."

Stating that her mom-in-law is a huge fan of the show, she says, "She watched every single episode of NB last year, and this time around too she's really excited."

Missing Farhan

Coming to her wardrobe for the show, sister-in-law Seema Khan (Sohail's wife) is designing all of Malaika's outfits. Says Seema, "Malaika is my muse. She trusts me completely with my creations. At the most, she will suggest the colour palette. Since she will be sitting throughout the show, I've laid special emphasis on the tops that she will be wearing."

Other than the slightly changed format, one thing that Malaika misses is Farhan Akhtar. "I am going to really miss him a lot. He's a great dancer himself, and not many people know that." So has she broken the ice with Kunal Kohli, who is filling Farhan's shoes ? "Not yet, but I am sure that will happen over a period of time."
