'It's not my problem if people think I'm arrogant'
...says Gauri Pradhan who's known to be very reserved on the sets

Gauri Pradhan prefers taking things one at a time. So much so, that the petite actor has only one show on air at the moment. "I like concentrating on one thing at a time and that's the reason I just have Kaisa Yeh Pyar Hai on air at the moment," she says. As for Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi on Star Plus, where her track has been missing for a while, Gauri says, "I always knew that I'm not going to be there for some time. After all, with so many characters in one serial, there are bound to be a lot of tracks running parallel to each other but some of them have to be given prominence over the others," she feels. But Gauri is equally sure that her track will be back soon. "I'll definitely be back, I just don't know when," she adds. Married to an actor — Hiten Tejwani — Gauri believes that they understand each other better. But is there any competition between the two, considering that they're working together in Kaisa Yeh Pyar Hai? "Never," she answers, and like the doting wife she adds, "In fact, I feel he's 100 times a better actor than I am." And now that the two actors are not just acting but even dancing alongside each other in Nach Baliye 2 on Star One, does she consider him a better dancer too? "Oh no, we're equally bad," she laughs and adds that that's the reason the two are rehearsing so hard for it. "At the moment, we're concentrating so hard on getting the steps right that we're forgetting that we're getting to spend so much time together in the bargain. I guess we will be able to enjoy ourselves better once that's done," she adds. One the one hand, Hiten and Gauri are the much sought after couple when it comes to being on television, but Gauri is also known for her reserved nature. "I'm very reserved," she agrees. "I'm an introvert and I take my own time to open up with new people," she says. But often, such an attitude is perceived as arrogance and Gauri knows that too well. "I know people think I'm arrogant but it's not my problem," she says with a smile. Talent and attitude certainly go hand in hand for this one!
