It's a tried and tested formula. With his brother Rajev and sister-in-law Delnaz having changed their spellings, even Rakesh decided to do the same. "One fine day, I woke up with the thought of doing something new. I called up Sanjay Jumani. He was very busy and not available for an appointment till September. But I requested him to help me and he changed my spelling on the phone itself. So I called him as Rakesh Paul and hung up as Rakessh Paaul! Another interesting thing is that, now Rajev and I, inspite of being brothers, will have a different surname. I am no longer the same Paul," he says.
