Fun @ work

TV actors are excited to get back to work after the unscheduled break as strike ends between workers and producers; soaps will back on Monday reports, Chhaya Toshniwal

Chhaya Toshniwal

it seems getting back to work was never so much fun, at least for TV actors. They are thrilled that after this 'resting' period they've finally resumed work with the producers and workers resolving their differences and ending the strike. After Hrs spoke to some of them. This is what they had to say.

Hiten Tejwani
I am very happy that the strike has been called off. I am ready to get back to work immediately. All these days I've been resting, watching a lot of movies, shuttling between Mumbai and Pune (his wife Gauri's parents stay there), and bonding with friends. But I'm a workaholic. I can't sit at home for more than 2-3 days. I've had enough of holidays.

Ram Kapoor
I'm ready to get back to work because I love my work. But I must admit it was a welcome break and I had a great time with my family. Summing up I would say there's a part of me that wants to spend time with my child and at the same time, there's another part of me that is looking forward to work.
(His wife Gautami Kapoor is seven-and-half months pregnant and she loved all the attention that she got from him while the strike was on. She says, "I was very happy because I got undivided attention from him. We got to spend a lot of time together.")

Aamir Ali
I enjoy my work and I'm happy that the strike has been called off. However, initially I was happy when the strike took place because that meant a break for us. I went to Lonavla for an outing. I also finished a lot of personal work in this period. But I felt bad for the workers. It was a tense period for them.
Sanjeeda Shaikh
I'm very happy that I can get back to work. Though I'm not a workaholic I can't stay without work for more than 2-3 days. And after the initial few days I got bored. I love dressing up, doing make-up, doing up my hair etc. I was missing all that. I kept waiting for the shoots to start again.

Roshni Chopra
While the strike was on, I was busy shooting in London for Vikram Bhatt's Hisss. I just got back on November 18. Though I won't get a few days off from work, I have no regrets. I'm a total workaholic. I had a lot of fun while shooting there, so I am looking forward to resuming work again. I'm very happy that the strike has been called off.
