I think that is the writers being inconsistent or forgetting what they said. When Neil dropped Avni off at Sukoon house in the previous episode, Avni should have said you always fight for the truth Neil BUT this time you made a mistake. We both are parents and you should have asked for joint custody.

If she had said that then with Neil taking full custody now, he is taking his revenge against Avni. It is the writers fault. This NK is truly unique, unfortunately some of the dissatisfaction arises out of bad writing by the CVS. The CVS really need to thank AvNeil to pull it off fabulously despite poor writing.

You see I put it down to the shock and breakdown of avni realising she has lost mowgli, who was all she had left. To a certain extent that accusation on neil was her having lost her cool finally as she loses control over her emotions. Remember, a mother is the biggest force to be reckoned with, and the emotions of a mother towards her child are unlike anything else. Neil had brought her back, consoled and apologised to avni for the humiliation she had faced and asked her to believe him that he had no hand in that, so at the time she tells him she knows he would not have done that and fights for truth, but now it seems she has lost her patience after losing mowgli, which can also be seen with how she finally puts mitali in her place. The avni we are seeing right now is a mother. I was actually hoping that avni would eventually accuse him of taking mowgli from her for revenge at some point as that is how I have felt all this time that he was doing it primarily out of anger, which is mostly true, and also out of love for mowgli too, but with her finally getting this rude shock after having poured her heart out to defend her position as a mother to get his custody, to lose him was a big deal. BTW if anyone has already watched, what was the court's actual justification for giving neil custody?
