Moghlee Being AvNeil's Son: Should we or Should we not Cringe?

So, a lot of hullabaloo is going on extensively in almost all social media platforms, where a potential discussion on Naamkarann can take place.

I am someone who has not connected to Avni even 10% post-leap, and amid all the fundamental reasons behind it, the most irksome one was, her incessant Sayesha-chants, the reverberation of which still echoes all over the place!

I am also someone, who empathizes with Neil's cauldron of anger that is bubbling everytime Avni is mentioned or is near him, because of the fact a betrayal no matter in what context, is always hurtful and when it comes from the person you love the most, it just shreds your beliefs in almost everything!

When the leap started, I was against even the thought or speculation of Moghlee being AvNeil's kid. I am not even getting into the debacle of whether Kabir is fit to be called as the ''epic'' Tillu ka Pillu that we ever wanted, or if he is ''cute enough'' like Ayesha Vindhara was, to play AvNeil's kid (yes I read posts on Instagram saying Kabir isn't cute enough as Ayesha was as Mishti, to play AvNeil's child).

So fast forward to now.
What has changed?

Well, technically not much, but due to my detachment from the show and the characters in say, last one month, and now that I have resumed watching it once again, I think I have excelled in keeping my attachment/expectations/hypothesis aside and looking at it from a very neutral perspective, wherein I see Avni and Neil as two individuals, deeply in love with each other, who are still married to each other, and bring to the platter a list of good qualities and fallacies.

Now, we get to business.

This theory is only and only in context of Moghlee actually being AvNeil's child, so it is only in this motion I am writing what I am writing:

Argument: ''Avni always wanted a happy family, craved for a family, then how can she deprive her own son of his family?''

-Avni's primary craving throughout her entire life has been a happy and perfect family, yes. She fought for it, and she could kill for it.
She would do things that one would never even think of doing when it comes to saving her family.
So, why and how could she deprive her own son of his family's love?

What we forget is, Avni's primary longing was always for a happy family, but if anything was even bigger than that, it was her assurance that her family and her ''loved ones'' are safe.
The girl who always craved for a normal familial life, sacrificed it all, just in order to make sure her family's lives weren't jeopardized, so do you think her realizing she was pregnant was reason enough for her to retreat back to Mumbai and ring the doorbell of the Khanna Mansion, saying I am carrying the heir of this family?

In all possibilities, that would not just mean bringing the threat back to her husband and in-laws, but also to her own unborn child. So, in a way she acted as a shield, even if that shield was a ''blanket of lie'' or a ''blanket of being in the oblivion'' : to be a wife and protect her husband's life, to be a daughter-in-law and protect her in-laws' life, and to be a mother and protect her unborn child's life.

She craved for a family but she let it go to ''save them''
and She deprived her child of a happy family, and let it go to ''save him''

Argument: ''Avni craved for her father's love always, then how can she deprive her own child from the love of his father and let Neil be oblivious to the fact that he is a father?''

- Miles and Miles I run,
I crave for sleep and I can't
The questions cloud me every time,
And I always come undone.

Love or life, or both?
What do I do if I have to choose one?
Life & death or love I seek,
I have to end this run.

So, what do you choose?
An option where you can save someone's life?
Or an option where you chase that love and in the process, a life is lost?

From the aerial, panoramic view, Avni knew only one thing, depriving my son of his father's love is better than putting his and his father's life in jeopardy.
Living without his father is okay, he will learn to live with it than losing his life and not living at all.

For Avni, beggars can't be choosers.
She was in a life and death situation crisis, where deaths of her loved ones were clouding her. Could she afford even the thought of another death approaching?
We all know the answer!

Argument: ''If Moghlee is AvNeil's son, then it is the biggest character assassination of Avni!''

- Can someone tell me, what is exactly character assassination?
Yes, I know what the term means, but if it is about a character going ''out of character,'' then please tell me one thing, in our real life, as human beings, have we been consistent about *each and everything* that we do in our lives?

Have we not been judgmental?
Have we not lied?
Have we not gossiped?
Have we not hidden something from someone?

And after doing all of the aforementioned or none of it, have we not judged someone else too for doing/ not doing the same list of things?

The point I am trying to make here is, we aren't specific characters, because change is the only constant in life!
Sometimes we go ''out of character'' and sometimes we stay ''true to our character' or it is just someone's perception about us!

Nonetheless, Avni was molded by her experiences, as we all are.
Losing Ayesha Maa gave her a purpose in life, to be strong, to avenge, and then she was molded by Neela Maa: Who made sure Avni's purpose was served albeit not in the way she wanted.

If it wasn't for Neela, then Avni would have killed DVM point blank and stayed in jail for life, and the epic love of AvNeil would have never even surfaced .1%.

It was for Neela she started valuing Family again, believing in God again, Trusting in Love again, and of course, there came along Neil.

By the time she lost Neela Maa, she was head over heels in love with her husband, his family, and her love always exceeds her reasoning in most cases.
Will quote Beyhadh here, ''Hadh se zyada kuch bhi acha nahi hota, pyaar bhi nahi.'' And that's exactly what Avni's love is like: It's limitless.

Be it for Neil, his family, or even Mishti (something we till date don't connect to!).

So, her rationale faced a bad wound once Neela was gone, and Dayawanti came to haunt again, cementing her until then dormant inference that she was a ''curse'' and whoever she loved was to be taken away from her.

So, does she truly believe that she is a curse?
Yes, she does.
No doubts about it.

Argument- ''How can Avni make her own child call her Di?''

-Let's reckon the previous conclusion we made: Avni considers herself a ''curse!''

Which means, she believes her loved ones being in close proximity to her physically or emotionally, would only call doomsday for them!
Now she had already distanced herself from her family due to the same reason, so why do you think she would do it any differently for her child?

She is a mother who loves her child to the moon and back, and if she believes that the curse she was born with is still lingering in her, then in all aspects she would want to make sure, the shadow of that curse doesn't envelop her own child in it.

And hence, we see, out of all kids, she is stricter with Moghlee, she gives him less of a chocolate bar than she gives to Pinky, so on and so forth.
She wants him to be independent, because going by her beliefs, she would want him to live a life away from her, not just emotionally but physically too.

Is she right in this thought process?
Well, from her experiences that she has lived, and we haven't, she is.
For us as onlookers, she can be grossly wrong.

So, does she have a choice when it comes to letting the charade end and embrace the truth by revealing about her motherhood to Neil and the Khannas, when she still believes she is a curse?

Well, it wouldn't be called a ''curse'' if it were a ''choice,'' isn't it?

.

So, this was just an analysis from a very neutral perspective, not taking sides of Avni OR Neil, but just looking at it as a story and characters.

I am not getting into any argument of this being an ''ideal'' Pillu or whatever, since that is up to viewers' discretion and beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder 😆

And lastly, if there is another argument on why Avni isn't revealing about Moghlee's paternity right now, then breaking news: She still doesn't know Vidyut is dead!
She still thinks he is lurking around to come attack her perfect family!
.
.
Would love to hear what you all have to say about this, agreeing or disagreeing doesn't matter, as long as ''being polite'' remains a fairly established standard we all follow! 😊

Loads of love,
Simi ❤️

Love this girl and I totally agree with everything that was written. Avni has been through a lot in her life which most people don't have to go through so as much as some of us can't understand taking everything into account her actions are totally justified. Avni would do anything to ensure the safety of her family and loved ones which makes sense why she would want to not only keep her child away from herself but ensure he doesn't have any idea of who she is so he is kept safe as she sees herself as a curse.

I had been thinking on this from the moment the article came mentioned Mowgli was AvNeil's son . I agree with all your points. Even I'm one among those who said this is a character assassination of Avni . I have made peace with the fact that Mowgli is pillu and Avni is justified in her own way in hiding the truth from Neil and his family.
How can Avni make him call her 'didi' can have other answer too . Yes she thinks she is a curse to her loved ones . Neela's death has shaken her entire existence beyond our imagination. So it's natural she feels she is a curse to anyone she loves or anyone who loves her . This is the reason she doesn't want Mowgli to call her mom . We can also say she doesn't want to enjoy the rights and happiness that Neil and her family never gotto enjoy with Mowgli.

I still have no hope that she will reveal this truth or Prakash involvement as it's revealed that VR is dead and gone. Maybe Neil will learn this eventually . Question is will Neil be able to forgive her if he learns . Will it drive him away from her ?

Thanks a lot for this post . We can make peace with this twist of we read with open mind .

Well said Simmi. Much needed post. U have said it all.
I agree with everything u said. But just wanna add a lot of people here were saying why didn't she went back after knowing she is pregnant. Her going back means Vidyut would have been free from Jail. N then Vidyut would come to know about her pregnancy and he would have another bew target her child. I m not saying what Avni did is right. But after Neela ma's death she was emotionally vulnerable and she really consider herself a curse to her loved one and she is now staying away from Neil n making Mowgli stay away from her only so that they be safe. Yes her decession wasn't right but maybe this track will make her realize that.
Even I didn't like the idea of Mowgli being Pillu at first. But now Mowgli being Pillu means the focus would be back on AvNeil from Saesha. So I think for once we should let the cvs do their work before complaining.

Girl i love your post 👏
all your arguments are spot on. i used to be a die hard fan of naamkaran but the post leap track has reduced my interest in the show and honestly speaking instead of completely destroying the show the makers should let it go off air. i guess naamkaran is going to meet the same fate as qubool hai. naamkaran used to be unique in its storylines and characterization but after the introduction of a poorly planned and illorganized post leap track i guess it is heading towards its doom.
mowgli being pillu is a big no no for me

I was disheartened by this news. Thank you very much simmi.
You answered all my questions .
And now I don't find a single reason to bash avni for hiding Mowgli truth.
But this is ur POV we don't know what cvs point of view is?
What do u think about the same.
Do u think Avni has some other name stored in for Mowgli.

But why didn't they show Avni's connection strong with Mowgli since beginning.?
