"Neel, I'm sorry. Mujhe pata hain tumhare liye kitna mushkil yeh safar hoga. Tumhe pura haq hai mujhse naraz hone ka. Mujhe maaf na karne ka. Mujhse nafrat karne ka. Lekin main thak chuki hoon. Mera hamesha haalotein se ladaee kahi hain. Par hamesha ladaee se kuch khoya hi hain. Neel mein tumhari zindagi ki liye bad luck hoon," Avni reasoned to Neel, watching his back towards her. She could tell he was crying, which made the tears stream down her face even more.

Neel wiped his tears, trying to hide the barrage of emotions he was feeling. He had to remain strong, otherwise he knew he would just break down on the spot, all the emotions he felt inside for the last 10 years will stream out, and he couldn't do that. Not now. Not when he knew meeting her didn't mean that she would return to him.

"Avni, tum hamesha ek dewaar kyun kada kar deti hon humare beech?" Neel said, as turned Avni around, bring her once again in his arms. Avni arms remained in between them, a true testament to his aforementioned words.

"Mein tum per ek bhoj nahi baana chahti Neel?"

"Avni tumhe ehsas bhi hain tum kya keha rahi hon? Mere pyar ko koi bhoj or ehsan ka naam na do!"

"Yeh pyar ko toh bechana ki khoshish kar rahi hoon," Avni raised her voice, for once. Her hands gripping onto Neel's collars, trying to get her point of view across.

"Really? Because from where I see it, you're killing our love story? You're killing me Avni, every single day. Haazorein bar marreya hoon iss das saalon mein Avni... maut toh sirf ek mare gi," Neel confessed.

"Yeh nah kaho Neel. Har din tumhari zindagi ki dua maangti hoon ... aur har din khud bi thodi marti hoon, tumhare bina, Neel. Maine saab kuch chhor diya. Tumko, apne aapko, meri har khushi kon, meri apni pehachan kon. Tumhe dard mein hai dekh sakti, Neel. Lekin mein itni strong nahi hoon, ki tumhare bina jee loon. Tumhare saath nahi lekin ehsas toh hai. Yeh taseli toh hain, ki tum aur humari family ek saath hain. Maine bohot kuch khoya hai, Neel. Bachpan se. Tumhe koh nahi sakti," Avni cried, her grip around Neel's collars loosening as she fell onto the ground.

Neel was in a turmoil of emotions. He was angry, he felt betrayed. Yet he also felt her pain. He hated that he did. He hated that he understood her too well. He hated that he couldn't hate her, no matter how much pain she put him in. He knew his pain was worse, much worse than she could ever bear. But he could read her eyes, he knew she wasn't the same Avni he had fallen in love with. She was a shell of a person. He had read Jaan's' diary. He had seen Jaan's behaviour. He had heard how the kids had described "Jaan di's personality. He knew her fears.

Crouching down, he tried to reason with her, that both of them can take of Vidyut together, but Avni didn't budge from her decision. She was adamant that she was the reason for everything bad that happened in Neel's life.

"Akri baar pooch rahe hoon, Avni. Tum wapas mera paas aa rahi hon, ya nahi?" Neel questioned.

"Nahi, Avni," all but whispered.

"Theek hai, tumhe pata hain main tumhare saath koi zabardasti nahi kar sakte. Tumhari zid se aage mera pyar hai Avni. Aur tumhari zid torne ke liye, maa aaj tumse yai vaada karta hoon, ki tumne yeh sab meri jaan bachaane ke liye kare hai, woh hi zindagi har din maut ko gale lage gi. Jab tak tum khood mera paas nahi aah jati, main har roz apni jaan ko jhokim me daaloonga. Abb yeh dhekte hain, yah toh tumhari zid jeet di hain, ya mera pyaar," Neel declared. A part of Neel wanted to hug Avni, a part of him just wanted to fill in the lost time. But it wasn't going to be as easy as that. This time, he wasn't going to easily forgive Avni, he was going to show how wrong she was. He was going to counteract her stubbornness with his own.

"Neel, tumhe meri kas-" Avni started.

"Nahi, Avni. Koi kasam nahi. Aur bas yeh yaad rakhne. Ek baar chala gaya toh dubara kabhi nai lautunga," Neel cut in, caressing Avni's cheek before leaving without even looking back once.

Avni stayed rooted on the spot, her eyes remained staring at the doorway Neel just left in. Her eyes burned, as the time stood still, her stare intact. She didn't flinch. She wanted the pain the momentarily overpower the pain that she felt inside, but it didn't. Avni didn't know what to do.

She wanted to keep him safe, but know Neel had made sure he was going to remain in danger, no matter if she was with him or not. She felt her heart drop at the thought of Neel never coming back. She was stumped. How does she keep Neel safe now?

I know I left it with a cliffhanger, but this is how I just pictured the much awaited confrontation (without the Saesha part). Hope you guys liked it. This one was dialogue heavy, and since I don't speak hindi, if theres any line that doesn't make sense, do ask.
