Neil and DD are just helping out after Avni has faked chicken pox and Sunheri is not there, this has nothing to do with the kids personally it is just Neil feeling peace at Sukoon House and wanting to do something he knows Avni would do.

yes According to Swetha this is what we can expect from her we know her character sketch yes she was shocked or rather irritated with the fact that his son still has that special place for avni in his heart while she wants him to move on with Mitali so yeh toh hona hi tha Avni ke Naam sunte hi Swetha aur Mitali Ko mirchi zaroor lagegi

I don't think Shweta was irritated at all by Neil still loving Avni, that is something that has been known to his family for years he has never hid that he is still madly in love with his wife. The thing with Shweta is that she is misinterpreting the change in Neil, she thinks Mitali is behind this change when in reality its Avni.
