The Colour Of Love (OS)

Avni couldnt be more excited to be the first person to put colour on Neil this Holi. Neil had managed to fill her life with colour when all she ever saw was darkness, he truly was her light in a very dark place
She looked down at her white t-shirt and white skirt, the last times she had wore white, she had lost someone, but this time she was going to gain someone, her hand went over her stomach and she let out a breathy laugh, today would not just be remembered for the festival of Holi, but also of the day she told Neil she was pregnant.

Avni wandered outside, the loud drums made her smile, it was true that when you were in love you saw the beauty in everything
She put her hand across the table of colours and stopped at red, the colour of love, the colour he had filled her life with, she would colour him with this colour today
Picking some up in her hand she walked over to him slowly and turned him around, her eyes widened at Neil's already coloured face

"Who did that" she asked, her glare almost burning into his skin
"Uh, some woman, I dont know, that doesnt matter"
Avni lifted her chin and turned her face away
"Happy Holi" he tried to make her smile, putting his hands on her hips
Avni turned and threw the colour in his face making him cough
"Happy Holi to you to" she replied moodily and went to walk away
How could he let someone else colour him before she did?
She was so angry at him, he had promised she would be first today, she hated how her eyes rimmed with tears

She knew it was silly, she just didnt want to lose him, she had never expected to find a man as good as him, she had always felt as if he could find better and that fear ate away at her all the time
Wiping away a tear she was about to step inside when she heard a voice behind her singing
"Do me a favour lets play Holi"
She turned around slowly to see Neil on the stage, he jumped down and ran over to her
He grabbed her hands and pulled her with him to the stage, lifting her in his arms he put her on the stage then climbed up himself

"Rangon mein hai pyar ki boli"
Neil sang, twisting her around
"Ho Mere Pichhe Pichhe Pichhe Kyon Aaye
Mera Jiya Jiya Kyon Dhadkaaye"
Avni shoved him back and stepped back slowly as she sang, tapping her heart
Neil went to grab her again but she shook her head
"Jaa Re Jaa Dont Touch My Choli
Uff Yeh Holi Haai Yeh Holi
Uff Yeh Holi Haai Yeh Holi"
"Neela Peela Laal Gulaal
Uspe Tere Gore Gaal
Kaali Kaali Aankhon Wali
Mast Mast Hai Teri Chaal" Neil sang stroking her cheek with the back of his hand

"Hai Bahana Holi Ka
Paas Aana Chahe Tu" Avni sang hugging him from behind, her arms wound under his, then shoving him she continued,
"Chaand Se Mere Chehre Pe
Rang Lagana Chahe Tu
Ohhh Holi Hai Aani Jaani
Tere Dil Mein Hai Beimaani
Main Nahi Hu Itni Bholi" she put her hand under her face blinking sweetly then shook her head glaring at him
The song continued as Neil held Avni close

"Tu Mili Jabse Mujhko
Holi Hi Kuchh Aur Lage
Teri Payal Ke Ghunghru
Meri Har Dhadkan Pe Baje" Neil sang, bending low, touching her ankle slowly then touching his heart
"Yu Hi Baaton Baaton Mein
Dil Churana Jaane Tu
Maane Na Kehna Koi
Tu Kare Jo Thaane Tu
Ho Tujhpe Main Deewane Haari
Tere Pyar Ki Main Hu Deewani" Avni sang, lifting him up, she kissed his forehead and pulled him off the stage and inside

"So, am I forgiven" Neil asked
Avni hummed, wrapping her arms around his waist
Neil lifted the sindoor pot and put the sindoor in her hair, "this is the only colour that matters, this is our Holi, we have this festival everyday"
Avni smiled and kissed his lips
"I have something to tell you"
"Go on my jealous wife"
She lifted his hands to her stomach

"We have a little someone joining us soon"
Neil's eyes filled with tears "really"
She nodded happily and he picked her up quickly
"Then you must rest, all that dancing" he put her on the bed
"What can I get for you, does anything hurt, oh youre probably worn out, ill call the doctor just one"
Avni grabbed his wrist "Neil, honestly I am okay, I promise you"
Neil released a sigh of relief and cupped her face

"Youve made me the happiest man ever, you always make me the happiest man, but today, just wow, I love you Avni"
"No more making me jealous, promise or me and Neil Junior will beat you up"
"How do you know its gonna be a boy" he laughed
"Mothers intuition" she smiled
"So if we had a boy what would you want him to be like" Neil asked, his head in his hands, a dreamy look in his eyes
"A police officer just like you, well mannered with a kind heart just like his dad"

Neil nodded "I want a girl, we could call her Ayesha, because it was her that in a way brought us together, you came here for revenge for her and found me"
Avni leaned forward and kissed his lips
"Im so lucky" she whispered
Neil put his hand on her stomach "No, we are lucky to have you"
Avni rested her hand next to Neil's, she had found her happy family and he had found his home
