Ashish finally put Avni down and she scowled "Whats wrong with you, you just shot my husband"
"Your husband that cheated on you"
"How did you even know about that" Avni asked, bewildered
"Riya told us"
"Urgh papa Riya is the one he cheated with, she told you this so she could get to him"
Avni shoved past her father and ran back to the door, her hand paused on the door handle, fearful of what she would find , then she opened the door

"Neil are you"
Her heart dropped at the sigh infront of her, a shirtless Neil stood with Riya's hands on his chest
He paused, shoving her away
"Avni, this isnt what it looks like"
Avni looked down, she felt sick "I trusted you, I came back for you"
He went to grab her but she pulled away, slapping him across the face
"I hope that bullet pierces your heart, oh wait, you dont have one, I hate you"
Sobbing she ran out

Avni took a deep breath, shaking her head, she couldnt focus on the what if's, she just needed to see if Neil was okay.
Her day dream had left a bitter taste in her mouth, pulling the door open she stepped in
"Neil" she called
Neil turned to look at Avni, relief flooding through his veins
She ran as fast as she could, crashing into his arms
"God Avni" he muttered, holding her close
"I thought I had lost you"
Avni pulled back cupping his cheeks "the bullet"
Neil pulled her and showed her the bullet he had removed on the plate

"I just need help stitching it"
Avni nodded, wiping her tears, she grabbed the needle and the string and began to sew it through
"Are you sure we shouldnt go to the hospital"
"No, they will just ask to many questions"
Avni nodded and finished the last stitch, Neil grunted in pain, rolling his shoulders back
Avni sniffed and looked at Neil, cupping his cheeks she pulled him closer
Closing her eyes tightly she allowed the tears to fall down her face and pressed her lips to his

Neil stumbled back, his arm wrapping around her waist and fell deeper into the kiss, "Avni" he groaned as she pulled back
"I love you Neil, im so sorry, I cant lose you"
"Avni, its okay, please stop crying"
Neil wiped away Avni's tears "I deserved it honestly"
"No you didnt, he could have killed you"
Neil sat Avni down, her breathing rapid and her hands clenched
"Okay Avni, Avni listen to me, youre having a panic attack"
Avni couldn't see anything past her tears

"Avni, come on deep breaths, look around, can you name me 5 things you see"
Avni took a deep breath in, and looked around "Sink, uh, cupboard" she said shakily, sniffing
"Window, um, drawer and you"
Falling into his arms she held him tightly
"Okay Avni, its okay, im here "
"Thank you Neil" she whispered "No one else knows how to calm my panic attacks"
"Ill always be here to help you, come on you need to rest"

Neil pulled Avni upstairs, opening the door he sat her on the bed "get some rest"
He kissed her forehead and went to walk away
"Neil wait, can you stay"
Neil smiled "of course"
Avni stood up "Your room is bigger" she laughed, holding his hand
Avni sat on Neil's bed and waited for him to change
"Are you just gonna sit and watch" he asked mischeviously
Avni looked down, blushing
Neil chuckled "You can look if you want, I dont mind, it will be our little secret" he winked

Avni shook her head as Neil turned around and changed his trousers
Avni stood up, turning him around she kissed him again, biting into his bottom lip, she yanked him closer
"Avni, are you sure"
She stilled, looking into his eyes "I just need to know you're here"
"Im here" he whispered, taking her lips in yet another soaring kiss

Avni realised it was only when you thought you had lost someone that you really loved them
Avni sat back on the bed, grabbing one of his shirts she walked to the bathroom
"Hey, thats not fair, you got to watch me"
Avni opened the door and looked over at Neil
"The door is unlocked"
Neil smiled, "Ill wait for when youre ready"
Avni smiled graciously

Neil looked up at Avni in his shirt
"I forgot how good you looked in my clothes"
Holding his arms out she walked over to him and sat on his lap
"Its been a long time since youve been this way with me Avni"
She cupped his cheek and smiled "Thats because today made me realise a lot"

He nodded, understandingly "Ive missed this Avni, more than you know"
"Me to Neil"
Neil pulled them both onto the bed and she rolled away, pulling the blanket over herself
She curled up closer to Neil and closed her eyes
"Goodnight Avni"
"Goodnight Neil"

For the first time in months, Avni and Neil slept well, in eachothers arms.

Hellooo, I hope you all understand now why I made Ashish shoot Neil!
And you got a glimpse of how Avni and Neil used to be before he cheated

Cursing Neil stood up and followed his employee to a woman turned away from him
