Let me take you back to the point of story where Avni and Neil were not married. Rhea has fled from the country and Avni didn't have to take her place in the wedding altar. After the marriage is cancelled Prakash cancels his deal with Daya and Daya and her family had to evacuate the house. Then Neil would have offered to help Avni in exposing Daya and together they would have put Daya behind bars. Now Neela would want her daughter to settle down after marrying a good guy. The first person that would have come to his mind would be Neil. She would put the marriage proposal in front of Neil. What would have been Neil's reaction?Had he accepted the proposal😛

Of course he would have accepted... this boy was smitten by her at the first meeting only ! When dayawanti is done what else was Avni's problem in life... toh shadi kar hi leta... itni khoobsurat, intelligent, sherni wife kaha milegi usse if not Avni ? 😉

Shaadi ke Baad almost one year toh apni feelings accept nahin ki phir tab itni jaldi offer kaise accept kar leta😛

Neil was already pyar main pagal but he didn't want to accept it. He may have said he needs time to think (Bhaav kane ke liye and then to fight his own denial and issues). Then Ali finds out and comes with his own marriage proposal. Avni confusion main.

Neil finds out and gets hell jealous and comes to Neela the very day and says "Muje Manzoor hai! Shadi kab karni hai?" LOL
