Running towards his car, he got in and followed the van

Anand looked into the rearview mirror "Ah shit, hes following us"
Putting his foot down, he sped forward

Avni worked on untying her wrists, rubbing the ropes on the broken part of the inner door

Anand smiled, he had lost Neil
Parking the van, he jumped out and tugged Avni out

"No, no dont do this I beg of you "
Anand grabbed her face, her cheeks stung from his grip

"Watch how you talk to me princess, now give me the jewel"
Avni shook her head

Dragging her by her hair, he threw her onto the floor, kicking her in the stomach she screamed and curled into a ball

"Stop or ill shoot"
Anand turned around to face Neil

Avni opened her eyes, sighing in relief she slowly stood up
Anand grabbed her, pulling her to him

"You shouldn't let her trick you into feeling something for her, she did the same to me, then broke my heart and she will break yours to"

Neil gritted his teeth, pulling the trigger, Avni ducked as the bullet scraped his shoulder

Neils men ran from behind him, arresting him
"Question him and get all the answers tonight, I want to know who hes working for, why hes working for them and his past with Avni"

The worker nodded as he dragged Anand along
Avni stood up slowly, with a cry she ran over to Neil

Wrapping her arms around him she breathed in his scent
She could feel his heart beat quicken, matching hers

As she pulled back, she stopped, her eyes drawn to Neil's lips
She knew this wasnt right, he was her bodyguard

But this attraction was so intense it made her breathless
His voice did things to her she had no words for, his touch was electrifying and oh god, how he looked at her

He looked at her like she was the only thing left, the most precious thing

Neither was sure who initiated it, but their lips touched for just a mere second before they both pulled away

"That shouldnt of happened" muttered Neil
Of course, he was right.
It shouldnt have, but that did nothing to stop her craving for more

"Khanna"
"Hmm"
"Take me home"

Wrapping an arm around his she smiled, "so how was your date with Riya"

"Oh yeah, great, was the cherry on the cake when you got kidnapped"
Avni shrugged "I did tell you, you cant do both"

Suddenly her back was pinned to the car
"Oh really, are you sure about that"

Lifting her foot she traced his leg "one hundred percent baby"

Shoving him back she sat in the car, winking

As he sat next to her, watching the way her eyes lit up when she smiled he became very aware

That it wasnt guarding her and the jewel he was worried about
It was about guarding his heart

Although this isnt that much longer than usual, it is longer.
