A young woman sat at the mandap
Dressed in red, her nails gripped into her scarf

Beautiful yet unhappy
Her body adorned with jewellery
But a smile did not adorn her lips

"Arre Avni, smile, this should be the happiest day of your life"
Hissed Ragini in her ear

Taking a deep breath she prayed Neil would save her from this hell

Tying Vidyut and Avni together, they stood up ready to take their rounds

Neil ran forward through the streets
Vidyuts men grabbed him, hitting him they threw him to the floor

His hand gripped the mud as he turned throwing it in their eyes
Grabbing a pole they smacked Neil on the head

"AVNI" He shouted
Avni stopped, Vidyut turned to face her

"Whats stopping you, your prince charming hasnt come to save you"

Avni scowled and continued , but she jnew her Neil was near

Neil fell to the floor, getting up he grabbed a rock and threw it as the men jumped back

Running to the temple he climbed the stairs
"Avni" he shouted again

Avni grabbed Vidyut's hand stopping him from putting the sindoor on her head as she stood up running forward

Neil grabbed her face, putting his forehead against hers
The blood from his head covering her forehead

"You are just my wife"
Hugging him, they turned to watch Ragini and Vidyut be dragged away

Nudging him she wiped her tears "You took your time"
Cupping her face he pressed a kiss to her forehead "I will always come for you, even if its slightly late"
