Lovers of the New Promo: A New Insight Comes to Play

Just thought to share.

My colleagues/friends know I watch this show called Naamkarann and that's about it.

They know it has a certain Neil Khanna and a certain Avni Khanna.

But other than that, they have never shown any interest in it whatsoever, and even when I would show clips of it on Instagram or elsewhere, they would be kinda blank about it.

Fast forward to today, when I was visibly upset watching the new promo on a loop, my friends/colleagues say, what is it?

And I show them the clip on Instagram.

And guess what?

They wanna watch the show from the effing beginning!

I am honestly a little taken aback with the fact that people (some people) still love to be enveloped in the world of Mills and Boons (not that I hate it completely, been a huge IPK fan.. but AvNeil are(were) so different and special), where an Angry Young Man rules and a woman is reduced to being his submissive!

I don't know if Neil Khanna is being revamped as SP's new ASR, and to newbies hooked to the promo like my friends, it may make them go ''Awww'' but for yes, who have been with AvNeil and NK from the time AdiZa came to surface, it is a big fat disappointment to see Neil's brutality at wiping off the vermilion from Avni's forehead, and treating her as a most wanted criminal rather than his wife!😕

Inputs, anyone?

i dont think whatever has been shown in the promo will play out,like yes may be Neil will be forced to break their marriage ,but wiping out sindoor and mangalsutra wont be shown

I have mixed views about the promo, I didnt like the way Neil wiped Avni's sindoor and the brutality of it but it had been shoot amazingly. Yes like you I am hooked o the show because of the respect and honesty Avneil share with each other. It is so different to anything seen before on Indian television and draws the viewer in.

However I do feel the promo has scope. All may not be as it seems as I refuse to believe Neil would act that way when he was more then willing to leave behind his family and job for Avni. I get people are irritated with the track since rang mahal but on the contrary it has bought so many positives Into the show. The RM track confirmed both the strength of the relationship both Neil and Avni shared but also made them realise that they do both love each other. It also showed the viewers that they were both willing to go to any extremes for each other.

Another plus point was the character development of Shweta. I think that has been one of my favourite parts in the show (apart from anuthibgj got to do with Avneil). The Juhi track was important as it showed Shweta in a new light who was willing to to fight for her DIL who she now sees as her daughter.

I think the promo also has something alluring about it. I dont want to see Avni and Neil separated but the fact the promo is show to go in that path makes me want to watch the episodes to see hw it is going to play out. I think patience is the only key we have now as despite the tracks not being exactly they way we have ante them, they have brought so many cute moments and we have gotten to see another side of Avni and Neil.

Ek promo kesai sab ko hila diya.😛positive or negative thought but hila toh diya.😆 right now I'm okay with promo because I wanted a freshness in avneil's love story Where avneil will be gotten full focused n if I get it something really interesting from upcoming track then it's gud n if I don't get it according to my wish then again I've nothing left except bashing cvs n roles or quitting nk to watch.😆

Yes, I won't say I ''resent'' the promo, but on the contrary, if this track plays out the right way, it has a massive scope of showcasing some amazing angst, intensity, and passion b/w AvNeil.

But I doubt Ketki as a CV can pull this off.

The only glitch here if you ask me?

Few days back Dragon had made quite an apt. post where she said, though AvNeil are shown to be married for a year, their understanding is being shown as they have been married for 10+ years.

Which is VERY true!

This is why it is going to be nearly impossible to digest that Neil Khanna can ever treat Avni the way he is treating her in the promo, after how long they have come together.

In other words, they are the true illustration of 'We have come too far to give up who we are!'

We can't do much other than sit back/tweet/wait and watch.

But I do hope that the CVs haven't embarked on yet another journey of character assassination of the leads, who we love and hold so dear to us!

Because the promo is intriguing. It is very different from the kind of promos on air currently. The cinematography and the background score are edgy, and promise something new. So, for those who haven't seen the show, or are not big fans they'd be like " this seems promising.

Now the problem with the people who already are hooked to the show ( like me), rather than being intrigued by a promo, we ( or atleast I) see it for the character. And whatever is happening in the promo is not our neil! What we see in the promo is character assassination, probably. moreover, from what ever i have read on the forum, people did appreciate the promo, they didn't even have a problem with seperation. Most of us have a problem with the leap, and neil not believing in avni.

This is my take on it.

for me promo was lil dramatic not my taste opinions and taste can differ but then i think there is more to it narration has been shw dramatic so loads of drama has to happen

today epi neil saying dnt take law in u r hands and stuff could be some hint abt the new promo may be may be not

i think neil taking this drastic step will be kept secret and wi open up only after leap and avni becoming ananya will happn later neil secret will come into play

As of now i feel viers wi be made to beleive neil did injustice with her or he really beleived she killed that chui

whatever it is i will give it a shot as i see only this shw

ultimately content is what make shw prosper in right direction and if thy r very serious abt leap then well plan and executed script is required nt a dava dhol scrip acc to trp rise n dwn

The promo was dramatic but intensity was top notch...Hell nowadays I am not able to relate with AvNeil scenes . I don't know why but it's like something is missing...It maybe the fault of writers or the director. Even in today's scene all they were doing was hugging. Maybe it'll bring the freshness in the show, I am up for it if and only if they don't butcher the characters that we love anyfurther.

The promo surely looks promising, minus the dramatics and yes Neil wiping off the vermilion part..That was pretty brutal and so not like Neil Khanna...We will have to see how they shape AvNeil's story further.
