ACTRESS NALINI NEGI, 2 OTHERS, CHARGED WITH THEFT IN MALAD

The Bangur Nagar police have booked TV actress Nalini Negi and two others for allegedly stealing cash and valuables worth Rs 1.87 lakh from a Malad flat. No arrests have been made yet.
According to the complainant Renu Sirohi, Neha Nangia, an aspiring model from Delhi came to live with her and allegedly stole from her locker and fled with the help of Negi and another man.
Sirohi, 32, lives in a flat on the eleventh floor of Serenity Heights, Mindspace, Malad (W), along with makeup artist Tanvi Gupta.
"Gupta came in contact with Nangia last month. She requested us to let her stay in our flat before she shifts to a rented accommodation. In the last week of September, Gupta and I went for a shoot. When I returned, I kept Rs 1.5 lakh in my cupboard, which Nangia saw," she told Mirror.
Sirohi alleged that on October 3, Nangia allegedly entered the flat using a duplicate key and emptied the locker of Rs 1.5 lakh cash and valuables, including a gold ring worth Rs 37,000 while they (Gupta and Sirohi) were away.
Sirohi alleges that the CCTV camera outside their building have captured Negi with Nangia along with a man, who left with the items in a car.
Police officials said a case of burglary and house-breaking has been registered. Sources said Nangia is being questioned by the police.
