Neil, as a character would not make that choice. To give his name to Mishti, he can adopt her also. whats the big deal about it, that's a more practical way.

Otherwise why will Avni leave Neil unless she is tryung to make way for Juhi when both Avneil can adopt and become Mishti's parents
