Naamkaran's one of the specialty is it's characterization
Neil:Many have described Neil's character in detail. He is an ideal man whom every girl desires
Avni:Innocent,Selfless girl who can go to any extend for the happiness of others(not only for family but also for the one in distress, for eg Juhi.because for the first time when she met her she don't know abt juhi.with the help of Ali she went to save Juhi)
Other than Avnieil
Neela:She is the most selfless character in this show,Even though she is not mother of Avni, but avni being her sautans daughter, instead of having grudges ,she raised avni as her own daughter providing motherly love. She will go to any extend for her daughter's happiness even though it costs her self respect.Avni inherited this selfless quality from Neela only.
Bebe:At first even though she was bit strict and unhappy towards Avni, once she recognized Avni's qualities she stood for her bahu as a lovely grandmother and promised Neela that she will take care of her.
Prakash:He is soft hearted fatherly figure who in the beginning itself considered Avni as his own daughter .He stood by her side at her difficult times.
Ali: Best friend of Avni.He will go to any extend for Avni's happiness and safety.Eventhough he loved her a lot he sacrificed his love for Avni's happiness. Also even though he was under custody of GM he was concerned abt Avni's safety only.
Last but not the least
DD:Brotherly figure to Avneil.Once a drug addict now a strict follower of his Neil sir and Avni bhabhi. So grateful to Neil for making him worth for the society. He want his Neil sir and Avni Bhabi together forever.

Usually in other shows other than the leads we will find 1or 2 supporting characters special.
Naamkaran is the only show where we enjoy the scenes
of the supporting characters too.We all love them.
Thank u CVS for giving an excellent show with strong characterization.

In Naamkaran, all the positive characters have one common quality that they can go to any extent for Avni's happiness and all the negative characters have a common quality that they they can go to any extent to ruin Avni's happiness.
In other daily soaps, the female lead have generally 1-2 supporters and others are either conspiring or ignorant towards her. She is perfect and guides even the elders of the family. But in NK Avni is still learning and seeks guidance from the other supporting characters. I am glad in this show the supporting characters are not just silent spectators and intervene and take stand as and when required.

So true.. Not only leads but all the supporting characters you mentioned have a magical screen presence..
Neela's selflessness is something I can't stop myself from admiring. She's everything a daughter should be proud of.. Cute as bunny... Fierce as tigress..

That is so very correct. And thank god FL is not perfection embodied who knows it all. And not your most docile sanskaari type. She is unique and so is our ML. And all the supporting characters truly support the story.

Such strong characterisation is what makes Naamkaran unique.
This is really the 'Nayi Soch' show!!

Neela is a unique and beautiful character full of motherly love for whatever happened in her life never changed her.

And the same goes for Neil's character. He is one of the best characters in Indian television. A person who never goes for what he sees or hear but evaluates the situation first.

This is why the negative characters don't bother me, you have so many characters who you can root for and respect for the beautiful characterizations. In this show you don't have guys like Prakash who just stand by and don't do anything, he takes a stand when the time is right and has always supported Avni when it came to her self respect. Bebe, she's had her negative moments but what I love about her is she is not ashamed to admit when she is wrong. Neela and DD, how can you not love them? No words needed for those two gems. Special mention to Ali, CVs could have destroyed him but kept him loyal - they kept a precious friendship intact with both leads!

Regarding the negative characters here is why I love Naamkarann, the negative characters are actually exposed!! Yes you have Daya, Ragini, Rhea, Shweta and Amol but all of their realities are known to the positive characters! In other shows you would see negativity dominate while pulling the wool over the eyes of others and it just makes for such frustrating viewing but here there is BALANCE!

Naamkarann is unique in many ways and I applaud the CVs for giving us a show that stays true to nayi soch. I managed to get my cousin and mom both hooked on this show, so proud :)
