Tonights/Yesterday's (sorry, but the USA-India time difference sucks) was definitely a treat to watch for us! Those emotions! That intensity! It was pleasure for me and for all us. Before getting into character and episode analysis, I would like to say few words on Zain and Aditi! These two protrayed those emotions so well! Be it from confusion to vulnerability to anger! It was very well portrayed. So kudos to them!
Now coming to the episode. I would start with Ali because I am STUNNED at his delusions. Like WHAT EVEN? Matlab agar negative IQ ka NATIONAL award hoga na, by god Ali ko hi milega. I am sure when God was distributing brains, he was probably just sitting and waiting for his turn. He doesnt even think once? Avni didnt even know that he and riya were going to join them. Then why in the world would she get a gift for Ali on her honeymoon with Neil? Why would she write a letter for Ali ON HER HONEYMOON with NEIL when she doesnt even know Ali is there? Like even after Avni got to know that Riya and Ali are over there, she didnt even care to call or meet them up. She was that oblivious to their presence. And he still thought that the letter and the gift was for him? Is he that stupid? I really dont think Ali LOVES Avni. I think its his mere infactuation and liking towards her which makes him think that he is in LOVE. No I really dont think he is in love. And I think so because if Ali did really LOVE Avni, no matter how disastarous that landslide was, he would have gone no matter what to check if she was ok. if not that, atleast he would have checked whether she got to her room safe and sound or not. Landslide is as bad as fire. But he runs for Riya but doesnt go for Avni? Ya, I know the manager stopped him (which I am so thankful to him for. Otherwise, how would we have gotten our AvNeil moments), but he could have still gone. If it was Neil, he would have gone no matter. But he just made that maggie noodle face and stayed as if he was asked to stop on the gun point. His delusions just frustrated me to no level. I just cannot wait to see him all jalofy when Neil is filling Avni's forhead with Sindoor and making her wear that mangalsutra.
Now to our babies! Today we saw their vulnerabilities and fear. Yes, I thought both showed their own vulnerability. Avni's was definitely more. But even Neil couldnt help but show his fear today. How? Let me start with Avni's first. The girl with no identity. The girl who used her mother's name as her identity when her own father and his family disowned her. The girl who faced rejections by her own blood relations. The only true relation she really shared was firstly with her mom and then her Neela ma. Yes Nanno and Ali are there but still. The girl who just wanted a perfect family had to face so much. Her own grandmother tried killing her. Her own blood relations left so much scar on that mind and soul that it will never be removed. Her soul and mind are burnt with those nightmares. And burn marks cannot really go away? Can they? The scars always remains. I have seen this first hand with a close friend. When you have so many scars on your soul, mind and heart, all you do is build a strong wall around your heart, making sure no one can look at those scars and no one can again give you the same scar. And thats what Avni did. She build strong walls around her heart. She didnt want to fall in love having seen her mom's suffer. She didnt want a family having seen what her own family did to her. And she just projected herself to be someone who didnt care about emotions or family. And that wall was slowly breaking down brick by brick. And we all know who did that. It was Neil. Even she has started realizing that her wall is breaking. She is realizing that Neil is changing her. She is touched when she thinks that Neil planned such a big surprise for her for a small gift. She feels happy. And with the happiness, the fear of rejection takes over her senses and mind. Poor girl, hasnt really seen what hapiness is. And hence, even when happiness is waiting for her on the door, she is not able to see it and accept it. But she is more scared about what could happen after. She is more scared about how long will that happiness last with her? And she imagines! She imagines her worst nightmare. And realizes that it was just her dream. That sense of relief that came back on her face truely showed how she is just scared of being rejected. How she doesnt want to leave Neil and his family. And she waits for him. And he still doesnt show up for the long time. And she starts thinking about her nightmare and how it could be right?
There are two types of people that I have come across in life: One, who are so tired of getting rejected over and over again, that they just give up with life and dont mind getting walked over again (Trust me, I have seen such people). Second is, that you are just so scared of rejection that you decide to walk away. You just dont want to give that chance to someone else. And thats what Avni was doing today. Her nightmare became her fear and hence she kept pushing Neil away. She felt like it was better to leave his life than him leaving her. And hence, she starts fighting with him. He is confused and concerned for her. He cannot think of a way to stop her, and get to know what is wrong with her. So he fights her back with the same words to shut her up. But she was just too sick and stubborn to listen and understand him. And I also believe the part of her breakdown also had to do with the fact that she assumed it was Neil who planned that surprise and when she collides with him while leaving, he asks her what is she doing here and she kind of realizes that her assumption was wrong? I believe that! This girl man! She has fallen so deeply for him. The separation is going to be really tuff for this girl to handle. After so much efforts, she had started believing in love and humanity. It might just push her to that dark world again if she were to separate from him. Oh well, its indian television at the end of the day. Separation ke bina kahani aage nahin badhti.
Now coming to Neil! I am not sure if anyone felt this or not but I did feel so. I think Neil again showed his vulnerable side of losing his love again? Like that gas bomb incident? This is time he didnt utter Juhi. It was just Avni. No matter how crazy she was acting and whatever nonsense she was talking in her anger, all he wanted to do was to take care of her. To make sure she was safe. To make sure that she is ok. Coz if anything were to happen to her, his life would get meaningless for him. He has bared the loss of his love once. He will not be able to handle it if he will lose again the second time. His world might even get darker then Avni's at this point. The sun that he is trying to be for Avni, might set forever. He LOVES her that much. The way he just didnt let her go no matter what she did or say was just heart touching. The way, he carefully makes her lay down was just heart warming. He was holding her as if she was his precious being. He gets those towels, wets them in rain and apply on her forehead to make sure she gets better. He panicked! He panicked a lot. He didnt want to lose her. He didnt want anything to happen to her. But his panic was not to the level that could cloud his judgement of taking care of her. He even asks for forgiveness for doing something Avni might not be comfortable? He is her husband and even after that he asks for forgiveness. He is doing that to save her life and he still asks for forgiveness? My heart just melted watching this scene. Like, someone please find me a Neil Khanna now! I want a Neil Khanna now!
Hence, I believe both of them relived their own share of vulnerabilities and fears. It's not that Neil is not aware of her fear. But yes, he was totally unaware of the reason behind her sudden outbursts. And I am sure, once he figures it out, he is going to love her even more. And for Avni, she believes that Neil has had a perfect little life with his lovely family. And hence, he is so positive and happy go lucky person. But the day, she will learn about Juhi and his heartbreak, she will fall for him even more and will respect him infinity times more than she already is.
