PART 5

Avni's POV

It had been 6 days since Avni had started her plan, and despites the bumps on the way, for the major part she succeeded. Neel left for work before she would even wake up, to get away from the unnecessary affection she was showering on him. She knew he felt awkward about it. So today she was going to push Neel to his breaking point. She was going to pretend that she is ready to get intimate with Neel. It won't go that far, in her part. The closest she planned to go near is to drape her arms around his neck, and she was sure that Neel would stop her and finally blow up. Give up his act of being all "wifey devoted" and admit that he was just trying to get revenge on her. Then they would finally be able to get out of this marriage mess as both would be filing for divorce or annulment and not just one of them.

SHe thought of what to wear. Wearing a short dress instead may get the point across better but it would be too much for her. She'd be too awkward too focus on the situation and Neel would begin laughing at her straight away. She decided to wear a sheer black saree. She didn't know if it was sexy or not, but she knew when she wore it, she got more attention from men. Neel needed to believe that she was being serious.

Avni decided against decorating the room this time. Last time she did, Neel was guffawing in laughter. Although in a nice twist in plans, it ended up with her having the last laugh. But she still cleaned up the room. He usually came late roughly close to midnight, so the only hard part of the plan would be staying up for him.

Neel's POV

It was 12:03 when he entered the room. A bit shocked the lights were still on and Avni was nowhere in sight. Neel took off his shoes as his eyes searched for her. Neel heard the door close behind him.

"Kahan thi t... Neel stopped midsentence as he turned around, also stopping midway of taking his jacket. If anyone looked at him right now, he probably looked like a cartoony statue. But it wasn't what he looked like that mattered, it was what she looked like. Avni was standing up against the door, dressed up in a sheer lace black saree, that perfectly hugged her curves. Neel blinked a couple of times. His breath hitched. He hadn't seen this side of Avni before, and he wasn't sure if he was dreaming or not. A beautiful but dangerous dream.

"Neel, main tumhare hi intezaar kar rahi thi, Avni said in a sultry tone. Neel gulped.

Avni walked towards him, and Neel wanted to walk back, but his legs stood glued to the spot. She smiled at him. He knew it was a fake smile, because he knew his girl. But for some reason, it still made something in his heart flutter. Then she stepped even closer, before side stepping him, and walking behind him. She pulled of one sleeve of his jacket and then the other. Finishing his movement for taking of his forgotten jacket. Pulling it off, Avni dusted off the jumper before putting it up in Neel's wardrobe again. Neel mouth went dry and he breathed in to make sure his voice won't be shaky when he finally spoke up.

"Umm..yea...work's been busy, Ananya. Tum soi nahi?

"Kaha na, main tumhara intezaar kar rahi thi. Maine humare baare baat karni hain. Avni replied, walking back towards him, and this time putting her arms around his neck. "I want to take this relationship to the next level," Avni continued. Neel lifted an eyebrow, finally putting two to two. Ab samjhe ye ajooba ki wajah, Ms wifey. How could I have been so blind. She's been doing this all week.

Avni's POV

Neel itna nervous lag rahe hai. Uski shakaal dekhne wali ha...Mujhe pehle kabhi pata nahi laga ki iski shakaal itni saaf hain...he really perfect skin. It looks soft. Touch karne ke ma...Avni concentrate.

Avni saw from her peripheral vision that Neel moving his arms. Great, now he can finally push me off and admit everything.

But he didn't push her off. He grazed his fingers lightly on her waist as he engulfed her in a pseudo hug, pulling her closer to his own body. She felt flushed all of the sudden.

"Are you sure wifey?" Neel smiled. Nahi yeh smile nahi ,he's smirking at me. Usko lagta hain ki mein wapas back down karoongi. He has another thing coming. Neel, tum aaj nahi jeeton ge.

"Mein soch rahi thi, ki waqt aaye gya. It's about time we take the next step," leaning in towards Neel. There was no space in between them. Avni watched as Neel walked backwards unconciously, with Avni in his arms, until his back hit the wall.Avni heard Neel's soft groan, and she bit her lip.

"Main iss din ka intezaar kar raha tha, Ananya," Neel replied, challenging Avni silently.

"So wait kiski kar raho hon? Kiss me," Avni replied.

"You should kiss me," he countered.

"Nahi tum,'' Avni challenged. No one wanted to go in for the kill, but voicing that they personally didn't want to, will mean they both would lose the game they were playing.

"How about we both kiss each other, meet each other in half way," Neel offered. Avni nodded. None of them moved in any closer.

Looking into each other's eyes, they challenged the other to move. Unbeknownst to them, both their breaths were shallow, their breathing irregular. They both synchronously moved slowly in, painfully slowly. But they still ended up with their warm lips on each other's, for the briefest of moments before Avni finally pulled back. The contact breaking her out of the spell she didn't even realise she was in.

"ARE YOU SERIOUS?! TUMNE ITNA JEETNA HAIN, KI TUM APNE REVENGE LIYA YEH BHI KARLO GE! HOW COULD YOU?! She got a cushion, hitting him repeatedly with each syllable she uttered.

"TUMHE YEH START KIYA! YOU'RE THE ONE WHO STARTED EVERYTHING!''

"ISKA YEH MATLAB NAHI HAIN KI TUM MERA FAIDA UTHAON GE! WHO BHI APNE REVENGE KE LIYE

"DON'T BLAME ME, YOU'RE THE ONE WHO'S BEEN TOUCHY FEEL THIS WEEK TO TAKE REVENGE ON ME! TRYING TO GET OUT OF THIS MARRIAGE!

"I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU!

"AVNI STOP! Neel shouted, grabbing her arms, and pull him against him again.

"DON'T TELL ME WHA...Avni?

Both of them silently looked at each other, catching their breath. Neel let Avni go, and walked back a few steps. He squeezed the bridge of his nose to aid his growing headache.

"Tumhe shaadi se pehle pata tha?

"Haan.

"Toh phir?

"Main tumhari help karne chahta tha. Lekin mujhe pata tha ki tum mujhse help nahi lehti. So I kept you close.
