Sun:Shivu's truth out...biggest trp booster...RiVanya's breakdown...specially last part...very Intense Emotional scene ...which brought tears in viewers eyes...ArNi's n Sudha chandran Brilliant acting...👏

IPL is indeed taking big toll on TRP's of all shows that are in its match timings...and it's not any sort of senseless or logicless thing...it's a hard but true fact, and Naagin is also affecting by IPL...infact IPL somehow having more effect than Asia cup and even t20 world cup...the reason is, at the time of asia cup/t20 world cup, we use to had clash of India's match with Naagin' timings only on one day, whether Saturday or Sunday...i still remember in one week during asia cup...Naagin's trp had very wide gap between saturday n sunday, all because of India's match...saturday probably was somewhere around 5 and on sunday it was highest till date i.e. 6.3, and due to this we missed overall 6 mark, and it happened not just one time but 2-3 times...and in IPL case, we use to have matches on both days and in weekends, usually matches between such teams are scheduled which can attract more audience, so more effect on trps

and for comparison purpose...Ind vs Ban in t20 world cup...had 15.8(on dd1) and like, Ind vs Pak during asia cup had 16.2 ratings(on dd1)...

...so like one match of asia cup or t20 world cup affected trp of Naagin, in same way two ipl matches having same effect like asia cup/t20 world cup, if not more than them.

and one more big thing about IPL effect...all because of IPL, Sony Max had toppled Sun TV from no. one channel spot across entire gec, not just hindi gec...before ipl, sun tv was at numero uno without any sort of near competition...we can compare Sun tv's case with Naagin, Naagin also has no near competition from any show, right from its launch...but after IPL sun tv has came down to second spot.

...and the trend continuing in week 17 also.

If still some one still says, IPL can't do nothing or not having any effect or big effect, than i can only say, their is no treatment for ignorance🤔

and i will add, in Naagin's case, trp apart from big IPL effect, being below 5 from past few weeks is beacuse of too much screen space wastage on OTT characters and even on OTT scenes like anki-yamini and nothing for good characters like morni or chutki, absurd swapping stuff n all, not in true pure sense focusing on RiVanya(and our misfortune, another OTT character nevla coming back)...it's not because of someone turning negative or any bond got ruined.

It is indeed true that IPL matches have a significant impact on TRPs because IPL is watched by a large segment of audience who don't watch normal cricket matches n are not cricket fans.

It is also similarly true that their is significant impact on TRP due to majority of active characters in naagin turning psycho like sesha, Yamini, Anky, Gurumaa with only Rithik, Shivanya, Sangram Singh, Katakka remaining good. I personally dont like OTT characters n sesha is no exception. I would have wanted her to be good n have been vocal about it here. Its a fact that majority don't like psycho characters n over the top acting. Nevlas OTT acting is simply on a different level that I am quite amused at his huge fan following even greater than the leads of the show.

Both the above facts are statement of facts n the scenario of viewing it differs because of the change in vantage point. Its case of glass half full or half empty.

The logical n democratic way of solving the problem would be to start a poll on the topic. The topic of which can be as follows.

Does Seshas turning psycho have any effect on TRPs???

All forum members can vote regardless of their fan affiliations or lack of thereof. In addition person casting the vote can also write below to which option he/ she has voted to avoid the problem of multiple IDs. Since the forum is a small microcosm of the society in general. The results like opinion polls or exit polls would show the results with around 80% accuracy. With 20% chances of failure due to sampling error. This is the most logical thing to do which will be fully based on facts. All the logical members can accept the result of the same as fair.

I don't know if forum rules permit it though, else I would have started it myself.

😆. Honestly, forget sesha or naagin or sesha turning evil n all. Would you see a serial in which many characters are not only bad n evil but pure psychos???

I cant say for others but I wont, coz enough psychos are there in real life so why to see the same in serial or movie also. I honestly was barely tolerating nevla in his first avtaar but now I have sesha, nevla, guruma n all powerful Yamini. Let naagins trp increase or decrease or stand still. But honestly would you like to see so many psychos eating away majority of screen time in your favourite serial. Even if sesha was gud n one less psycho will it make any difference coz even otherwise she does not get any screen Time other than stalking shivanya n rithik which in itself is sick. Guruma n Yamini was expressly shown evil only a couple of episodes before sesha eventually turned evil n their OTT drama only started then. At that rate even If sesha was good, TRP would have fallen coz of OTT characters taking lot of screen time.

If my statements are wrong, I don't have any problems accepting it. If its a hope, its like a Star Wars 4, A New Hope. LOL.

When opinion polls or exit polls happen. Do they take response from each person who has voted?? In TRPs also do they see the whole audience?? In any sampling study only a small portion of the whole population would be taken a sample. Its called random sampling techniques. The accuracy of results would definitely be also based on multiple ids. But honestly I don't know why would anybody take all the pains to influence the results In such a manner coz its not worth the time n effort according to me.

In maha episode if TRP increased does it mean that people like her becoming negative n were waiting for such an event to happen???

Any product is released in market based on surveys based on simple random sampling or cluster based sampling. Even medicines are released in market after testing in such manner n checking for placebo effect. Else no new product or service would hit the market.

But chances of failure is also their. I don't deny that n its called sampling error as you can see when opinion or exit polls fail but many times they actually do succeed n its only cost effective method for makers of any product or service to get feedback.
