Arjun appeared in the episode tanvi died. he was in the puja along with Rivanya. i actually liked Arjun's character. he could have been a support to Ritik. but probably makers want only rivanya as each others support system.

Chhaya also had two appearances post Viren in coma.

but Viren was essential. he wasnt dead, but his coming back would be revelation of shivanya.
