Is it fair to end Rajat Tokas' role in Naagin so soon?

The handsome actor is seen as the Icchadhari Nevla but his cameo is apparently too short!

Fans of Rajat Tokas would be disappointed with this buzz. The actor, who rose to fame with his fine performances in shows like Prithviraj Chauhan and Jodha-Akbar is seen in Naagin as the Icchadhari Nevla (mongoose). We saw the actor's entry last weekend as Kabir Oberoi, the US-based businessman who is chosen as Tanvi's (Puja Sharma) prospective life partner. Arjun Bijlani aka Ritik was seen trying to set them up in this mission.

We saw how Kabir was flirting with Shesha (Adaa Khan) on the show. Viewers had started enjoying the chemistry between the two, and had also nicknamed them as KaSha. Rajat and Adaa were looking quite good together. It was refreshing to see him in a new get-up away from those heavy-duty historical costumes and jewellery.

Rajat's entry created a stir in the industry. It was seen as another master-stroke by the makers to hike the TRPs of this already successful show. However, it seems like the actor's cameo will be a shorter one than what was expected. In the show, his character was that of a form-changing mongoose that wanted revenge from Shivaanya (Mouni Roy) and Shesha. He will be shown killing Tanvi but will eventually die in a deadly face-off with Shesha.

Rumours are abuzz that the actor's early exit is due to his commitment to another Balaji show, Chandragupta Maurya. The actor, who is known for his finesse in this genre, will play the complicated role of the great emperor. He is slated to start his shoot for that show soon.

Agreed agreed.great tfs...isse accha toh guruma ka role end karte ...just fed up of seeing her 😡..actually I wanted kasha using each other ..and then end kabir ..but not so soon ..but CVS and maiyaa will give us what we don't want...😡..one more thing talks of season 2 going on I want same cast kasha ,rivanya apart from guruma ,suri...🤢..and if they try to experiment with new cast they will be fool to ruin the masterpieace..but maiyaa ka koi bharisa nahi🤢

dnt worry most of the tym season 2 fail due to change of cast, i dnt think they will change the cast, season 2 would be continuation of same story!!!!

Agree...n for this no body its ph n color is responsible...kasha are the famous couple of town just with one promo...if they want its easy to extend cameo n than wait for CGM .his chrctr is going to kill so early

Ekta always known to play with viewers ...she is known for her gr8 frndship too where she think for her friend more than viewers...so something is wrong there that only ekta mata knows

Otherwise whole media is proof that how much ppl r loving kasha

Rajat is a professional person he knows all he knows wht he is sign for... Unfair wht have been if he was sign fo. Second lead n nt given... He was cameo always.. Even his fans knows n agree on tht... Even kabir sesha story was clarified by ada in itv so all was already crystal clear

Don't understand the point of this article, Rajat's role was always cameo, so no use of blaming channel or Ek, and its nt that Rajat got the show trp higher or made the show no 1, since 2nd week of Nov the show maintained its trp and remain No 1, and the show constantly having good trp nt that RT gt the show more high trp and this Nevla track and Ma Kali track gt included only coz the show gt an extension,
and doesn't matter how popular an actor might be, popular actor show always doesn't get good trp, it's the story line and the presentation that matter!! An actor may be v.popular with online viewers bt nt always their show gets good trp,
eg Sanaya Irani is very popular online and most probably has huge fan following, bt after IPKKND, her third show Chanchan was huge flop, so online fan following never gives trp, its the story line and presentation works with trp viewers 😛

According to articles rajat was paired opposite adaa n if v read them clearly it is clear it was going to b naagin nevla story n all media ppl were saying let's how this story will develop...Rajat role was cameo bt not very short... few rajat fans are accepting it than few like me are not accepting coz wt we were shown its actually not shown on tv. So it's unfair

And I don't why few people are saying it was second lead thats y he is leaving show..oh my God kon superstar supporting role nahi karta...Salman sharukh all in their life they have done second lead...real actor is one who can make his or her chrctr loved by every one it's not matter if its first lead or second lead...even adaa is second lead but she is not insecure n giving her best

So same with rajat I don't think it's he who Is leaving show due to second lead...but it's decision of channel n ph

Either something is wrong there or its due to CGM

RT was nvr second lead, it was cameo, even AB did cameo in MATSH, and people loved him as Shikar coz his role was strong, lead or no lead, role should be strong enough to create an impact!!

we rajat fans knew that it was always a strong and an inmportant cameo.and as far as we know rajat,he does not really do cameos if his role is not strong enough in the show...he is choosyfor each and every role of his...we really dont know whether they r ending his character earlier than the estimated time or not,but we r sure his role will be unique and performance oriented and thats why he agreed to do it

as far as CGM is concerned,cgm news had come earlier..on oct 2015..so we knew he would be doing cgm and cgm was always preplanned..in fact being in naagin was a big shck for us
anyways...waiting for kabirs character to unfold and waiting for this next big project!!

agree that rajat and adaa looked good together and had chemistry though it is shortlived..will miss it

Thts wht I'm saying na it was always a cameo thm y to put as if he is thrown out of the show..rubbish ...y to make thngs controversial

Shikhar was nt cameo it was 6 mnth has to pull of because of naagin
