Million dollar questions yeh hai ki:

1. Whenever we start a story, Writers sense whether it is gonna work out or not. In this current season would not be they aware of the developments they can bring in as they themselves had left lot of loop holes which could have been developed into tracks and it would have made sense and would have been given proper closure... That's what wondering me ...Why is this rush and it is like chat mangni phat shaadi types they are throwing one more garbage on us...

2. Ho Saktaa hai ki..khud actors don't wanna continue and they wanna chase new projects...

She's a naagin and a cheel. But I don't think it's like Markaat like people have been saying. Markaat could choose to be either / or and have the full powers - she was literally split in two. A hybrid naagin-cheel is just one (I assume) who has both sets of powers.

Writers do sense these things and we've seen over the season that some plots which haven't worked have been scrapped quickly and without ceremony.

But in ITV, you're basically working against the clock - you have no banked scripts, certainly not a bound one, so in the end you just try throwing everything to the wall and seeing what sticks.

I'm sure the actors have their contracts and other commitments, but as others have said, I don't think they would be so inflexible as to force an abrupt ending if they could avoid it. No one wanted this show to go on forever but this just feels super abrupt.
