As far as I remember, Bani only knew Gadhak stone could be controlled by the eagle prince. She understood she could control it as well. But ye ulta karne wala information use pata nahi tha.

But Bani wanted to trap Shakura, so she took the stone to Chandobi pahadi which has only negative energy, and Gandhak behaves the opposite way when in contact with negative energy. That's what I said. Guruma told her information related to Gandhak stone. I didn't remember all of the details related to Bani's knowledge about Gandhak.
