And how he was stammering while uttering the next line.. Ouchhh

I actually found that entire scene so very poignant! The way Bani's mood switched instantly with that sentence. Both Sharad and Surbhi did brilliantly. Their facial expressions added so many unspoken feelings.

That was actually a very well thought scene, I felt! Veer was testing the waters with bani, I guess! The greatest blame she keeps on putting at him, ever since they got married, is how he forced this marriage on her, how suffocating it is for her to be with him, to live under the same roof with him. So in return of giving his mother back to him maybe he thought paying her back by giving her, her much needed freedom. He knows she doesn't hate him anymore, but whether she wants to continue living with him? He wanted her to take a stand.

That last smile on his face when she declared she wasn't going anywhere!
